Samba rock was recommened a friend who studied at UCSC.

It used to be good and had great texture and flavor.

We got the original acai. However the texture was not acai at all? Instead of like a smoothie flavor it was like layered ice with a melted slurry. Even after 5min it basically melted into just a watery drink almost like we had to slurp it.

Flavor was good overall but sad by the texture.

I personally wouldn’t go back if this is the expected texture

Just grand and a must! Go to in Santa Cruz. Authentic Brazilian flavor. After my first bite,it was so nutritious a tear fell from my eye.

Best acai I’ve ever had! Warm, authentic atmosphere, friendly service and great acai.
Shame that most of the bad reviews claim the acai is too icy, when that is the way it should be! Meant to be mixed until no longer icy, then its perfect!

It was good! They didn’t blend my almond butter into the açaí bowl for some reason so I had to do it by hand, which obviously didn’t work great with the cold açaí so it was super chunky

But! Loved that things here are organic, that’s definitely a huge plus. And the berries were all fresh and delicious

As much as I love the place and it’s Portuguese speaking staff the acai is just a bit too loose and wish it was more solid. But the toppings are great, it seems hard to beat kitandia.

My favorite acai spot. Always have to grab a da Silva bowl when I’m in the area. I usually add cacao nibs to my bowl. The portions are good and the flavor is so refreshing. It can be a bit icier than other places but it tastes really good. Friendly workers and they have some tables to enjoy the acai in the store. Their hours can be off at times though. Sometimes they close earlier than the posted time.

I’ve tried a lot of açaí (including in Brazil) and the texture of this one is just weird. It should have a smooth consistency, not pieces of shaved ice. The flavor wasn’t bad, and the service was good. I just think you guys could blend the açaí better… I mean the bowl cost me $18…. overpriced for the quality.

Great post workout treat. Tastes too good to be healthy! The acai base comes with a number of options to mix in, like passion fruit, banana, peanut butter, etc. There are then a number of set bowls to choose from with a variety of topping options, and other ways to customize your bowl. The pao de quiexo is also good, if you get there before they’re all gone.
