Absolutely in love with the food here. We tried a bunch of vegetarian and chicken options and we keep going back here at least once in two weeks.

Their Tom Yum soup and Pad Siew are my favourite and their green curry is just something you cannot miss.

Took our friends here (their first time trying Thai) and they love it too!

The portions are generous.

Food was fantastic. Had the rice paper wraps they were good. .Just like other places we tried. Also had the lettuce wraps they were great! Very different then others. Now the star of the show for us was the pad phet was the best we have ever had and trust me… we have tried many many others in winnipeg.. truly amazing.

Magic Thai makes good food that’s just different than most Thai flavors I’ve had. That’s not a bad thing, but it’s not an inventive flavor I enjoyed more. The pad Thai uses very thin noodles and is extremely thick. It tastes very much peanut like and homogeneous in flavor without a ton of balance. Their spice levels run from 1-10, but even a 5 is spicy for most people. If you REALLY like spice then opt for a 6 and add spice from the side. Parking is free and on the side street.

Hurts to give a bad rating, loved this place before and the crab Rangoon USED to be awesome! BUT this year from the order you see in my pics I ate 15% of it max!! If it was good food I’d have finished it all.
I actually gave the crab Rangoon away (to hotel service guy)
The Thai ice tea was tasty though!
Think I’ll try elsewhere next time

Tasty, quick service and friendly staff make this an easy choice for good Thai food. We ordered two orders of Green Coconut curry soup and one order of Cashew Pad Nut w/ Beef. The soups were 5/5. Lots of flavor, good portions and just the right amount of spice. Wish it would have came with rice though. The beef cashew pad nut was okay but not that great and the beef was a bit dry. I’ll definitely be returning for more soup!

came for lunch and the food is always on point!!
i got the red curry chicken and green curry beef, and both were really good – super yummy and just the right amount of spice. definitely hit the spot… i also got the iced coffee and they were sooo good
the staff were nice and attentive, which i appreciated. but the washrooms were a bit of a hassle to find, and when i finally did, the lights were off which was kinda weird

My absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Winnipeg! Friendly staff and spot on authentic dishes packed with such delicious flavors. Moved away from Winnipeg but this place is on the list of restaurants to visit when I come.

They ask your tolerance from 1-10 for spice so you can enjoy any dish regardless of tolerance. Options for meat choices or Tofu or shrimp for dishes if you are vegetarian. Good portions for the price.

New review is 5/5. Having tried many thai places in the city and consulted with peers, I’m certain that Magic Thailand is one of the best spots you can go for delicious, reasonably priced Thai food. If you haven’t tried it, you absolutely should. 10/10 spice may not be enough for some people; conversely, it’s enjoyable for most people.

Today I tried the Massaman curry and loved it! A couple weeks ago I tried the green curry and loved it! Service is incredibly quick and it takes less than five minutes from ordering to receiving your food (If you’re ordering a single curry and rice). The taste is absolutely addicting, and afterwards I feel a bit ill. Not sure if that’s because I’ve overstuffed myself or if the curry is a bit imbalanced. I do feel the curries should have more of an uplifting kick to them, which is what I was hoping the basil would do.
Still, this is one of THE BEST Thai restaurants in the city. If you’re on the fence, jump over and try these affordable, delicious dishes.
Just make sure to order some rice with your curry! It doesn’t come with it.
Spice scale is 1-10. I really like spicy food and 7-8 makes me sweat and my nose leak without making the food unenjoyable. YMMV.
