If I could review less than one star I would. Came in at 8:15 on 1/12 for a quick dinner. We did not feel welcome from the beginning. We ordered quickly and were finished eating by 8:49. The waitress was extremely rude— rushing us, picking up the empty bill and telling us they close in ten minutes. Waiting by the booth with the cleanup cart as we were trying to collect our items. The sashimi tasted strong, cheap, and fishy. The rolls were very mid. Totally bill was $56. Beyond not worth the price— do yourself a favor and pick up sushi from the grocery stores the quality will be better and you’ll avoid the abhorrent service.

Me and my family just moved out to Mesa and we loooove sushi. This place is amazing. From the complimentary soup and salad, to the freshness of the rolls. We’ve already come back twice and we will keep coming back!

To start off I will admit that this kind of food is not necessarily my favorite nor am I an expert of any kind when it comes to Ramen, Rolls or Sushi. However my wife loves it. So the the restaurant was very clean, the bathrooms were as well. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. We ordered some appetizers, a roll, Ramen and a plate. Everything was very good. There is a huge parking lot. If you were in a large vehicle, pulling a trailer or in a R.V. you would not have any issue getting around. We will be coming back.

Overall nice little Mesa sushi joint, gives homey Mesa vibes. Very affordable, yummy sushi. My wife and I went here one night because we were close by. We got like 5 sushi roll and they came with complementary miso soup, and an Asian-like salad. Left at around $30. I just can’t complain, solid 4 stars. Worth a try if we’re thinking about trying this place and it won’t break the bank

What an amazing surprise! We have been driving by rhis place since they opened and never stopped till the other night. One of my friends told me that it was there new sushi place and so I thought I should take the wife out and try it.
Our favorite sushi restaurant closed down during covid and hasn’t reopened so we have been trying others trying to find one that will be as good as it was.
SO GLAD WE STOPPED AT ZUGOI!!
The food was awesome!

They have so many different Asian food options to choose from.
I love how they made this old village inn in to a nice restaurant.
We started off the complimentary salad and soup witch were lovely! Next we went with the crab ragoons and they were so good! Then we got the nacho momma backed sushi roll with a Tuna poke bowl. Both were so good! I think the price is a little high and the portions are a little small. But I was happy!
The service was spectacular! Those nice little Asian ladies were on point!

So I was reading some of the reviews and I couldn’t help but notice so many people think that the servers are rude. I don’t think so!! I think it’s a culture thing….. This people are actually super nice! I think there snappy attitude is just a get it done attitude. She has been snappy with us but I don’t take it that way she is just trying to help super efficient. By the way, our food tonight was awesome like always! Thank you for another great meal!!

Order to go food…. App said I would get soup and salad I got neither… Nor did I get any kind of sauces to go with my chicken fried rice. The chicken fried rice is very bland no flavor to it at all!!?!!! There is sushi is pretty good but the chicken fried rice sucks no soy sauce no hot mustard no nothing.

Food was pretty good, portions were very nice, however the service was abysmal. Server had no respect for personal space leaning way too far in, had a condescending tone, almost mocked us for not knowing how the ordering worked (anything not on the salad/soup/sushi checklist they give you has to be ordered with the server, even though she never asked to take out order) was making scoffing noises at things we asked for at times, and took so long to check us out, even though she was right next to our table. When she finally did arrive we were met with an almost aggressive “you done?”. Then forced us to hand over our left overs we had put in boxes to put in a bag, and took so long we ended up leaving without them. Even though the food was great, the service made it enough for me to think twice about coming back, or even recommending this place to anyone else.
