My recent dinner at Susie and Sam’s Steak House in Bainbridge was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we sat down, we were treated to a delightful meal with truly exceptional food.
The steaks were phenomenal. My filet was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, tender and juicy. The rib eye our table ordered was also cooked beautifully to a perfect medium-rare. They were paired wonderfully with the famous house-made steak sauce. Sam’s steak sauce is indeed quite good—it has a great flavor that complements the quality of the meat without overpowering it.
The absolute highlight of the meal was the side order of blackened shrimp. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked, a fantastic addition to the main course!
We also loved the appetizers and sides. The potato skins were loaded with melted cheese, bacon, and chives, and addictively delicious. A special mention must go to the rolls (as pictured) – they are truly to die for! Warm, soft, and slightly sweet, served with whipped butter.
The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent. If you’re looking for a top-notch steakhouse experience in Bainbridge, Susie and Sam’s is the place to go. Highly recommend trying the blackened shrimp!

Great first experience! Every staff member was super friendly. Our reservation was at 8:45 but was able to be seated a lot earlier. The calamari is some of the best I have had (yes better than even a lot of places on the coast). The steaks were delicious and cooked to the proper requested temperatures. Great cocktails as well

First off, the owners, Susie and Sam could be seen walking around the dining room greeting customers and being sure everyone was happy with their meal and experience. They seemed to be the sweetest people. This place has a wonderful atmosphere fit for any celebration or a casual night out when you’re craving a delicious dinner. My coworker and I visited while in Bainbridge for work and could not stop talking about how delicious and perfectly prepared our food was. I will come back next time I’m in town.

The ambiance was a 10. The potato skins, steak kabob, rolls, and salad were also a 10. It’s a huge plus that their blue cheese dressing is house made and they serve their steaks with the au jus sauce. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I loved the birthday serenade with the complimentary brownie and ice cream. Honestly, if you’re looking for a special occasion restaurant I have no notes. You won’t be disappointed. Went for the first time tonight with a group. The food was perfect. I had the surf and turf and the potato skins. The blackened shrimp were the best I’ve ever eaten. The portions are large and reasonably priced. I was able to box up leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. I enjoyed the music playing at the entrance and inside, the soaring ceilings, and the operatic singing of happy birthday. One of the owners stopped by the check on us more than once and the service was prompt and friendly. 10/10. I will be back here again for date nights with my partner.

Our first time at Susie and Sam’s to kick off the Birthday Weekend! This place is amazing. Food and Service are the best I’ve ever seen/had. We wound up eating at the Bar because we didn’t have a reservation. Maddie was fantastic and makes a mean cocktail. Both Sam and Susie were excellent hosts! It brought back fond memories of Marie Livingston’s from 30 years ago! We will MOST DEFINITELY be back! Lucky to have them in Bainbridge.
