This place was one of my family’s favorite restaurant before but not until today. We’ve been here many times before but this time I was very disappointed because one of my favorite food that I always order every time we’re here the Yakisoba was vary salty and they used different noodles. I told the waiter that it was salty and he changed it but just the same “salty”! We even thought that they didn’t it changed it, that they just reheated it. The Dynamite Jalapeño that we always ordered as an appetizer it was very little, I don’t know if it was the way they plated it. Another issue was we waited longer to order because the waiter forgot to get our order. My daughter usually she loves giving tips but this time she didn’t want me to give tips but I still did and she was upset with me. She said that this place is not the same as before. We were thinking that maybe this place has a new or different chef. Or a new management? The waitress/waiters that we really liked we didn’t see them there.

Amazing food, coming from the west coast I didn’t think I would taste fresh fish in the middle of Missouri. I was wrong ! Highly recommend ! The sushi rolls are amazing and they don’t short on the amount they give you. Even the presentation is amazing. All the workers always greet me and the atmosphere is perfect for the setting . I go to here at-least once a week.

When we were about to leave. 3 employees came up with a dish of ice-cream and a candle. Asked my name and began to sing Happy Birthday. They had instruments and sang very well.

This is a bucket list restaurant for sure, in Sedalia. Great service, excellent sushi and the noodles were amazing. 5 Stars was earned 100%. Met my daughter for a birthday meal and had a great meal with smiling service and food options for everyone. I even got a happy birthday song sung…and a sunday for the birthday girl…. Gotta give them a try…

When you walk in you don’t feel like you are in Sedalia anymore, it is very clean and neat inside! Atmosphere is perfect, the staff was superb, very friendly and fast service! The sushi chefs were funny if you sat at the sushi bar! Everything we had was amazing couldn’t stop eating it!! We got a little bit of everything, couple apps, couple rolls, and entree from hibachi grill too! See the photos! Very nice presentation of the food as well, We Loved it, honestly the best sushi we have had in a very long while! The filet from hibachi entree just melted in your mouth!! Don’t question it just go in and try this place!! We will be back! Highly recommend it!! Well done Ni-Kuni!

Inside was nice and clean, food was very good. Server was very pleasant and kind, The foodCould’ve been a little hotter in temperature when it was brought to the table. My husband got the lobster and New York steak I got the shrimp and the New York steak. Comes with fried rice, vegetables, soup and salad so it was a great deal.

My goodness the atmosphere was beautiful. Ni Kuni has been on our go to places for a while now, and I am so glad we stopped by today. The owner recommended the Hibachi Chicken, as it came with a soup, sushi, fried rice, and spring rolls. The clear onion soup had amazing flavor, and the chicken was mouth watering. We tried their new flavor egg roll, Philly Steak. YUM!!! The staff made us feel as if we were regulars. Husband and I will be returning as often as we can.

Update: I hate giving a bad review, but this last visit went poorly enough I may not return. Friend received the wrong sushi roll, waiter never came back so we couldn’t tell him until he showed up with the check at the end of the meal. Told waiter it was the wrong roll and asked that it just be taken off the check, waiter says ok and leaves with roll… manager/owner? Comes to table and says friend has to pay that they wont take it off the check because he ate one piece. We explain it was the wrong roll, she argues it isn’t, we ask if it’s the “3 Angels” roll and are told that its a “Pink Lady”. Manager/owner? Disappears after this and sends back the waiter to tell us that they are remaking the roll and he still has to pay. THE SAME ROLL IS BROUGHT BACK OUT NOW DRENCHED IN DIFFERENT SAUCES TRYING TO HIDE THE FACT ITS THE SAME ROLL!!!
Great sushi, katsu, and tempura, hibachi is ok, soups need work. Prices reflect good portion sizes and quality. Super friendly staff.
