Casa Brava is a standout addition to Hanover’s dining scene, perfectly located inside a hotel just steps from Dartmouth College. From the moment you walk in, the space feels vibrant and intentional, anchored by a large, eye-catching bar in the center of the room that immediately sets the tone. It’s social, energetic, and clearly designed for lingering over great cocktails and shared plates.
The cocktail program is excellent—well-balanced, thoughtfully crafted, and a perfect complement to the food. But what truly elevates Casa Brava is the creativity and cohesion of its menu. The tapas selection showcases global influences—Latin, Asian, and Mediterranean—blended seamlessly rather than feeling scattered. Each dish is built with intention, balancing texture, heat, sweetness, and richness in a way that feels confident and refined.
We tried the chicken tinga empanada, crispy Brussels sprouts, sweet potato slices, yucca fries, Argentinian-style steak, and pork belly bao tacos, and every dish was a hit. The empanada was deeply flavorful and comforting, the Brussels sprouts were anything but ordinary, and the yucca fries were perfectly crisp with just the right seasoning. The sweet potato slices were beautifully balanced, the steak was tender and well-marinated, and the pork belly bao tacos were a standout—rich, indulgent, and thoughtfully composed.
Even familiar items feel elevated here, thanks to smart pairings and restraint in execution. Nothing feels overworked or gimmicky; instead, the menu invites curiosity and sharing, rewarding you no matter what direction you go.
Casa Brava strikes that rare balance of feeling elevated yet approachable. It’s ideal for a casual night out, cocktails with friends, or entertaining visitors looking for something special near campus. With its creative menu, excellent drinks, and lively atmosphere, it’s easily a must-visit spot in Hanover.

What a wonderful addition to Hanover, NH! A creative, upscale and innovative cocktail program, along with extremely fresh and delicious food. The bartender made the perfect spicy margarita even though it was not on the menu.
Yesterday they hosted a special tasting menu and every course was flawlessly executed. Otherwise, we have tried many of their regular menu items which are AMAZING: especially the grilled Caesar salad, mahi mahi tacos and Argentinian steak with chimichurri. Service is always attentive and friendly. If you are in the neighborhood looking for a special dining experience I highly recommend Casa Brava!

Went here after exploring the Hood Museum with friends. We picked it because of the many GF options. The staff were knowledgeable about cross contamination and what I could and couldn’t have. The best part was our cocktails. The bartender did an amazing job with the craft cocktails and it had the absolute best old fashioned I’ve ever had. The Brussel sprouts were also fantastic. We will be back.

I’m ashamed to admit that I underestimated Casa Brava when I checked into the Six South hotel, dismissing it as just a hotel lobby bar. Trust me and don’t make the same mistake!
The cocktail menu is PHENOMENAL – I was in town for more than a week and worked my way through a solid selection. Every one was classic, impeccably mixed, and perfectly presented. If you’re in Hanover and appreciate a properly executed cocktail, don’t skip Casa Brava.

It has become our new favorite place. Especially love the steak, Brussels sprouts and shrimp tacos. Trying different cocktails each time and haven’t chosen a favorite yet. Service is great!

We had a lovely time, eating early before a Dartmouth hockey game on a Friday evening. Service was fantastic, drinks and menu were fun, innovative and delicious, especially the Brussels sprouts and crispy tuna. The place was busy and happy, felt new and exciting compared to most other Hanover options.

We very much enjoy the space and the people who come in and sit at the bar. Mixology is first-rate. Tapas menu is limited but delicious and ingredients to the food are high quality. It can get busy as word has gotten out since the opening.

We had three dishes, all tasty, especially the crispy brussel sprouts. The prices, however, seemed high for the size of the servings. Including tip, the bill came to $86 for three dishes and two coffees for the two of us. The tables were close together and the noice level was high, making conversation somewhat difficult.

We went here for NYE dinner and it was outstanding. Probably the best meal we’ve had in Hanover (or the surrounding area) and we visit regularly. Huge shout out to Austin who was friendly and clearly passionate about what he does.
