Been coming here since we moved to Whittier almost 2 years ago. We come at all times of the day night even past 12am sometimes. Customer service gets 5++stars. They are always super nice friendly and welcoming. The food is always amazing I not much of a donut person but my bf is and ge loves them. I love the bagels and the hot sandwiches. My to go to is the pastrami sandwich on an everything bagel.

I went in around 6:00pm on Wednesday afternoon and ordered a maple bar, the donut did not have much maple frosting on it and it was very hard. It’s easy to say that the donut had been in the case for a decent amount of time. I knew I should’ve chosen a different donut, but I wanted a maple bar.

Winchell’s is the best donut place in Uptown Whittier and it’s been around for a long time since its debut in 1948. I enjoy the chocolate donut and the blueberry muffin, they were so good!

I was in the area for work and realized nothing close to here is open before 8am… I was VERY HAPPY to find Winchell’s and get some donuts before my workday started.
I popped in here very early one day, the cases were loaded with donuts and pastries. GREAT selection. I ordered 1/2 dozen with a variety in case my coworkers also had trouble finding food. I was also excited to see they had donut holes – glazed only. I ordered 1 to eat as an instant snack! It was delicious! I later ended up eating a chocolate long john and a blueberry cake donut and both were really good. I liked that they have a lighter texture versus heavy and the frosting was tasty.
There is some street parking and a very small lot. The lot is not well lit overnight so know that. There is some seating inside. Service was good, but we did have a language difference and so questions weren’t able to be answered.
I would stop by here again and will definitely get a bag of the donut holes next time 🙂
