First time trying and my shrimp scampi was amazing! Lots of shrimp. The sourdough was great and the wait staff was knowledgeable and very attentive! We will be back! So we want back 3 days later and got a ribeye and the strip. Both cooked perfectly and seasoned very well!

My husband and I ate here with a friend in November 2021. This was the best fish I’ve had in the Ft Myers area. Service was excellent. The ambience here is great — especially off season. I plan to go back in May (off season) when friends are in town.

What an amazing anniversary dinner at The Sandbar! Chef Brian is on top of his game. From the boom boom shrimp appetizer to my wife’s filet, done perfectly, to my ribs it was all prepared spot on! And dessert of my creme Brule and my wife’s chocolate martini topped off a perfect dinner!

Eat here with caution. I know ownership is changing and with it a new executive chef. We ate here twice and both times the food was excellent. Friday night was amazing with a truly delicious bronzed snapper on top of a mushroom risotto, fresh bread and a seafood trio where everything was good except the crab cake lacked much in the way of crab. Saturday night seemed less good. The bread was crunchy to the point that it hurt to eat. Great iceberg salad with the right amounts of everything. The coconut shrimp was good, but not something I’d come back for. The snapper and risotto was again delicious, but this night the risotto seemed heavy on tomato and less rich and practically no mushrooms. Both cocktails we had (an old fashion and margaritas both nights) were well made. Great waiting staff as well with attentive service! Again eat with caution since ownership is changing, and I don’t know if the quality will be maintained. Hopefully when I return it will still be good!

A great place for a good dinner. The menu has some delicious, freshly prepared dishes — we ordered the daily specials, and they were as tasty as they sounded.

Staff were friendly and efficient.

It’s worth booking ahead, as they get busy at peak times.

Just finished possibly one of the best meals I’ve ever had Sanibel. Our server Logan was amazing. She went over the drink menu & specials & made great recommendations that both my wife and I loved. The food, service & ambiance were a perfect 10/10.

Perfect way to celebrate our 3 year anniversary of getting married here on Sanibel island. Thank you Logan for the great night! Make sure you get her as your server!

The atmosphere was nice, the waitress was very knowledgeable. The food was excellent, everything tasted fresh there wasn’t a long wait. Out of all the places that I ate at this week on the island this is by far my favorite place and was happy to go out on a high note before I went home.

Stopped by The Sandbar on a day trip to Sanibel, and couldn’t have been more impressed! The atmosphere is a great blend of coastal and simple elegance, it’s comfortable and nice without coming off as too pretentious.

I called ahead on a Saturday and was able to make a reservation for two. All of the staff that I interacted with couldn’t have been nicer, and we were seated almost immediately upon arrival.

The menu is a single sheet, double-sided, about half of which is wine and appetizers. I’m not a fan of having a ton of options, and this to me speaks to the fact that they take pride in a select few dishes.

We started with the boom-boom shrimp appetizer, which was flavorful without being overwhelmingly spicy. I got the crab cakes (pictured), and my S.O. got the filet. Everything was incredibly delicious, cooked to perfection, and tasted super fresh! I’ll definitely be making a regular stop here on any future visits to the island.

Also as a side note, this place has some of the best tasting water from a restaurant that I’ve ever had.
