The food was horrible today I eaten here before and the food was decent today the chicken was refried hard and salty and the gyro was stale and half crunchy in some parts it tasted awful I couldn’t eat it. I’m throwing it in trash complete waste of my money I won’t be going to there business for food again. At the service was passive and nobody was rude.

Never go to their new location on 59th! We love Jimmys on Cottage. The jimmys on 59th gave my family diarrhea. My toddlers had chicken tenders and my husband had a chicken sandwich and everyone had to miss daycare and work. Never again!

Jimmy’s is suggestively known for the burgers hence the name of the restaurant however the taco lover in me couldn’t help but to try the tacos, more specifically the chicken tacos. I was surprised that I would enjoy them so much that I’ve been back several times and have yet to actually order a burger but my better half is addicted to the burgers so they must be decent because he’s picky and equally particular about his food. I know this is not a Mexican spot and I am kinda against ordering food that’s outside a restaurants specialty but the tacos are decent for the price. The sauce will disappoint but I keep taco sauce on hand just because. Oh and while you’re there grab a frozen lemonade they also have daily specials for those trying to dine on a dime. The staff are very personable and go the extra mile.

Ordered a philly cheesesteak and asked for mozzarella instead of swiss. First off, didn’t get mozzarella and the amount of meat on there was not even the bare minimum. Bread toasted to the point that its chewy unless it was stale to begin with. Fries were pale and bland. And lastly, the lady putting the food in the bags, coughing in her hand, not changing the gloves. But after coughing in her hand, opened the bag with the hand she coughed in, and pressed her hand all the way down in the bag so it’ll stay open. Then grab your food and place it in the bags all after coughing in her hand and not changing the gloves.

Food was great, fried chicken sandwich was what it was supposed to be, simple and tasty. Service on other hand was absolutely the worst, they have chairs and a place to sit but staff won’t allow you to sit. Seriously what kind of place doesn’t let you sit to eat? Staff was yelling and arguing with each other while customers inside. Bottom line, get in and out or spend money elsewhere.

Wow and woah… a Chicago favorite inside another Chicago favorite. Imagine a Chicago-style Philly cheesesteak wrapped in a Chicago style pizza puff, and you get the crispy steak Philly from Jimmy’s Famous Burgers in Hyde Park. It was absolutely delicious. The ish to me was fye…for real. This is the only way to describe it. Can’t wait to go back!
