This is my first review ever. We have been coming to Crosby twice a year for three years and eat here at least once. In October service was extremely slow, the food luke warm, and there was a language barrier so things like tarter sauce, ketchup, etc and water were never received. We tried it again last night, trying to give it another chance.
There was a stand across the entrance of the restaurant so I asked the bar if the restaurant was open (we had 2 under 21). A female who was sitting at the bar said yes. She ended up being our server. Not the nicest person.
I have never been flipped off and had so many curse words said while I was being polite and just trying to order food. The server was rude and obviously not a happy person. Our appetizer orders of walleye nuggets came out with dinner, approximately 55 minutes after being ordered. My son’s sausage and shrimp pasta had 3 shrimp. It was $8 dollars more than the sausage pasta. My chicken fried steak was ok, but the mashed potatoes and vegetables were cold. When our server finally came back, she seemed very put out when I asked her to microwave my meal to heat it up.
When I ordered an old fashioned, she came back and said she couldn’t make it because there were no bitters.
We are here hunting and used to roughing it, but this was ludicrous. We will be going to any other restaurant, or eating microwavable meals before we go back.

We sat down and waited for service to order drinks, no service. Three folks standing behind the bar visiting. Walked up to the bar and try to order our drinks. The employee said can’t you see that I’m mixing drinks. No one had a sense of urgency. The guardian where we’re staying was excellent nice clean rooms.

This place has a great vibe with lots going on – one side seems more restaurant-ish (a little quieter with booths) and the other is more of a bar thing with juke boxes and casino games and high top tables. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent. Great food selection as well. The only thing I will say is don’t go here if you’re in a rush, as it takes quite a while to be served, but we all really enjoyed our meals so it was worth it.

Waited 10 minutes for service. I had to go tell the waitress that we were waiting for service. Another 12 minutes before waitress came and only took a beverage order and we were ready to order food, waited 7 minutes before the beverages came and ordered food. 31 minutes later our food came COLD. Waited 1 minute and walked up to the waitress and gave her my plate and told her it was cold and she took it to the kitchen and didn’t say anything to me. I left.
I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

20 minutes before we got asked what we wanted to drink, then another 20 to ask what we wanted to eat. Then 75 minutes for food. Keep in mind this was 2 guys sitting at the bar. Got there at 7:45 and left at 10:05. Embarrassing service l.

This was some of the worst service I’ve experienced. Poor management, poor communication! I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone who values their time or money.

Honestly, our food was delicious but, the waitress was one of the worst I’ve had though.. She was snippy and rude (to all 3 groups of people sitting down), she audibly sighed when we asked for our drinks 10 minutes after we ordered them and acted like even the smallest request was to much.. We are waterfowlers, staying up here in a tent, we aren’t picky nor are we asking for much.. it was mind blowing honestly.
The second she gave me the bill her whole tone changed and she cheerfully wished me a good day, ha pitiful.
But to reiterate, the food was delicious! Hats off to the cook! The southwest egg rolls were a hit and the wings, burgers, and smoked mac and cheese were delicious!

The service was awesome. My food was awesome. I ordered the Walley diner. Others in my party ordered a burger that was a little over cooked abd cheese curds that had all the cheese cooked out of them. The service was worth giving the restaurant a second chance. We went at 3PM the bar side is open then and the restaurant side is not open but there is a full menu. We had a toddler with us. The server allowed us to sit on the restaurant side anyways and still served us since we needed a high chair for the toddler. All the tables in the bar area are high tops.

What a hidden gem in small town North Dakota. It is worth the stop if you are staying in Crosby or just passing through. Service it top notch and the food is the best food I had in a long time on the road and the price point is spot on.

Mixed reviews… food was excellent though waitress mixed up our orders. Atmosphere is super nice and probably nicest in 60 mile radius if you want a nice atmosphere for a “date night”. They do need to paint a few walls where chairs have gouged off paint. Went out for Valentines Day and disappointed that although prime rib is on menu as available it was not available on Valentines Day. The excuse was that their special was steak and shrimp however that’s a regular menu item. In actuality the special was that normal menu item of steak and shrimp at a reduced cost with an additional side and free desert (free desert with any entree). Reasoning for only 3 stars being the uneducated wait staff and not having a normal menu item available.
