We had an amazing experience celebrating my birthday at Ono. We had the 7 course menu and it looked, smelled and tasted fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really laid back luxury modern, Kitty is a wonderfull host and our waiter, (20 yo law student, don’t know his name) gave excellent descriptions with every course and explained the wine pairings as a proper self taught sommelier! It is not a cheap establishment, but definitely worth the price you pay.

Super tasty food. Recommend the Seasonal menu with the Wagyu. Quite expensive but worth it. Service was very timely and friendly. Nice location on the water. The time between courses was very good; just long enough to really anticipate the next tasty tidbit.

Went to Ono last month for my birthday. We went on a Wednesday evening so it was nice and quiet, and the service was sublime. The food was phenomenal! My partner, who normally will not eat anything sashimi or raw, loved the flavour of those dishes. The quality is superb. Highly recommend the 5-7 courses with wine pairing.

Amazing food, Thank you Chef Daniel for this amazing experience. Came from the kitchen to our table to have a small chat with us and explained every food. You can see the dedication he put in to his dish. Very delicious.

The host was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The presentation of the food was excellent and the amuses were much appreciated. I found that the flavours could have been more prominent. The 20 euro surcharge for the wagy beef felt a bit like a rip off. It was likely the smallest piece of meat I have ever been served for a main course and it actually wasn’t that special (certainly have had better on other occassions).
The 6 course menu booked through the Restaurantweek is only 5 euro cheaper than the regular 90 euro menu of the restaurant, so there is barely any incentive offered.

Very nice restaurant, with great interior design and staff that is proud about what they’re serving.

A few hours before the reservation we were contacted by the restaurant to ensure our evening would meet our expectations, allergies were asked about and they also asked about our schedule so they could properly space out our dishes during the evening. Everything went smooth.

We had the six course meal and paid for the optional menu items, this meant the beet tartar got switched out for their cultural interpretation of Fish & Chips, next to that we also opted for the Wagyu which has been a longstanding item on my food list. Both dishes were worth the investment as the Fish & Chips interpretation was a fantastic take on a classic dish with the caviar and the sweet potato crisps which all came together if you dipped the crisps in the caviar and the omelette foam.
The Wagyu also deserved endless praise as it was so tender and of high quality that the meat just melted away in your mouth.

The flavour combinations of all dishes were excellent, multiple combinations which I would’ve never put together by myself really took me on that fusion journey that the restaurant takes pride in.

All in all it was a great experience, my only point of critique would be for the restaurant to properly thaw their Mozarella, as I had a frozen ball of it on my dish which took away from it’s complimentary flavour within the dish itself.

Date night on Valentine’s Day. Got a fixed menu. Our experience was really splendid. A day later and we’re still thinking about the tuna and unagi nirigi, lobster and the wagyu steak. Everything was beyond the quality we expected. Would be definitely coming back one day.

One of our favorite restaurants in the world. Exquisite preparation of high quality products. A perfect fusion of Japanese and European high end cuisine. For us at least one Michelin star! We will be back!
