Such a fun and welcoming environment! We recently went to the islands with friends for a girls’ trip and stopped by The Tipsy Jellyfish, it was everything we were looking for. Great drinks, awesome to-go wine options, and the best staff. Definitely add this spot to your next Oak Harbor night out!

Pretty disappointing experience, came in with a friend for a quick bite after shopping downtown. The atmosphere was not inviting, our server who also seems to be the owner was standoffish. Good food could have solved all those issues, but the charcuterie and hummus with veggies were soooo disappointing for the price point. On the topic of pricing, the menus prices did not reflect what was charged on the handheld device for our food. There was an added service charge of $2 and tax was $11 on a $55 tab, I’m unsure how or why tax was 20% of the bill. We got 2 drinks and 2 appetizers for $70

I have been a customer at The Tipsy Jellyfish since Kathryn opened for business three years ago. She has done extremely well, making strong connections with the community during this time. Having actviti3es throughout the week also helps (Trivia night on Wednesdays, karaoke on Saturdays, and other events), help bring people together.
As this is a small business, I do not expect perfection. The Tipsy Jellyfish is a good place to visit after a long day at work, with the atmosphere being cozy and inviting. Prices are what you could expect for a wine bar. I am thankful we have a place like this in Oak Harbor.

Where to begin, the atmosphere is always fun and hip. We are treated very well like family. I really enjoy the time the wife and i get to hangout with friends, Jim, and Kathryn there. Not only do they have great beers, wines, but great finger foods. Another cool thing they do that rarely would ever happen anywhere is that they stay open after their closing time to give people more time to enjoy the coziness.

-they pour skimpy shots at overcharged price
-overcharge/making up prices as they go
-make sure to get a receipt for your records
-they don’t keep track of guest and bills.
So the first time going there I had a bad experience. Because the husband overcharged me the drinks. My bill came to about $30. I stated to him; I only got two Coors Lights. I questioned how much the beers were and he said $7 each. I responded with what “why is my total $30?”The husband said “oh you were here earlier and you had two beers.”
I said “yeah and I paid for those two beers, 2 hours ago when I was here, earlier. I just came into the establishment have two more beers, so why is my bill $30?” He said “Oh, I thought you were in the back room the whole time.”
I was thinking in that moment to myself, “you really think I’m in the back room with no beers sitting there for 2 hours, come on man.”
I let that one go. I gave the Tipsy Jellyfish benefit of the doubt. So, I went there on a different day and time. I shouldn’t have.
I ordered a Coors Light that’s $7. I had one shot of Fireball for $5. Then, I asked for a Jack Daniels. Didn’t know the price . Ask for my bill she told me 29.64 I said wait, I had one beer and two shots . Then I ask for recipe and my bill came down to 20$ and a 4$ tax , I was actually thinking of getting an other beer until I realized I was beening overcharged! I back up and left . So think 5$ +7=12 so my Jack Daniels shot was 17$ what ??

The Tipsy Jellyfish welcomed us in immediately when we first moved here not long ago. We love their beer selection, as well as the variety of other beverages they have to share! Jim and Kathryn are wonderful hosts, friendly and always willing to visit and recommend something new we should try! They are very involved in the community, plan fun events and make us feel like we are right at home! When we want to hang out with our pals, the Tipsy is ALWAYS our first choice!

Tipsy Jellyfish is a fun, laid-back spot that really captures the relaxed island vibe. The atmosphere is welcoming and casual, making it a great place to meet friends, grab a drink, or just unwind after a long day. The décor is playful without feeling over-the-top, and the space feels comfortable whether you’re there for a quick stop or a longer visit.
The drink menu offers a nice variety, with something for just about everyone. Daily specials, karaoke, and other events that keep things lively and give you a reason to come back. The owners are always on site, happy to answer questions, and great at helping you select the perfect wine.
It’s the kind of place that feels local and unpretentious—perfect for a low-key night out. Whether you’re a regular or just passing through, Tipsy Jellyfish is worth a visit.
