We’re from out of town, traveling for vacation. Saw this place recommended on our route and can say we We’re 100% satisfied. Service was great, the food was fantastic and the restaurant is cozy and comfortable. If we come through again I will be stopping here.

We ate there on our way to Pinedale Wyoming, as we enter the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile, and said we can seat wherever we want to. As we sat, an old couple were sitting close to us and we started chatting. Our waitress then gave our menu and told us what the special was, she said it was battered hamburger, kind of like chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn. The food was made fresh and tasted very good, our waitress was very attentive and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place, and I would come again.

Nice atmosphere but the waitress was extremely rude 1/2 the time. I know people have bad days however it mostly occurred when we asked for anything extra. She also made my sister feel dumb for saying she didn’t want any onions on her salad. Maybe she didn’t like travelers.

Loved that classic American experience you get when you visit. Definitely a spot only locals go to. The food, however, was not that good. They smothered country skillets in gravy which made us leave feeling bloated. The food also didn’t taste fresh. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out the mushrooms and peppers are canned.

I ride my motorcycles around and review diners. This was my farthest one yet at nearly 400 miles round trip (greetings from the Greater Denver area). I visited Grandma Jo’s on 8 Oct 21. As I walk in, it’s neat and clean. It’s split into two areas and I sit in the corner of the bar side. The tables, chairs, and bar stools are clean and in a good state of repair. Now, on to the food!
I got the #3, country fried steak. The hashbrowns and over easy eggs were expertly prepared and I rather enjoyed them. The chicken fried steak was a little to be desired. The breading was not crispy (I’m used to it being crispy) and the gravy was bland. HOWEVER, a little salt and pepper made it better. This is all about preference; I’m sure many like this meal. The coffee was good with no complaints. The mug had Grandma Jo’s face (I presume) on it. Prices were right where I like them, (under $10 for breakfast). Overall, I had a good experience. I would visit again.

The place was busy, with only 1 server, but she greeted us and sat us, and got us some drinks. She explained she was the only one serving, but she was hustling!! We were patient, got our food ordered, and dug in. Food was great and glad we stopped there!

Meatloaf special was skimpy. Very small potato portion. No vegetables were offered on the side. I would not stop again.

We stopped in yesterday for lunch, when we were in Sidney. The restaurant was very clean, we had a very nice and friendly waitress. I had the Garden Omelet. Best Omelet I have ever had. Husband had the Chicken Fried Steak Dinner, he said it was delicious. The prices were extremely reasonable. So glad we stopped in. Great Dining experience.
