I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Madden’s! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and upbeat. Even during a busy rush, Alysia and Nancy were an absolute joy. They were attentive, friendly, and completely on top of everything. It’s rare to see service that smooth and positive when a place is packed, but they handled it effortlessly with smiles on their faces the entire time.
The special they served us was absolutely delicious — perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and very fairly priced. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their customer experience.
Amazing place, amazing people. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service!

Actually good bar food and reliably kind/patient service. I love a good dive bar, but it seems like Madden’s is confusing dive with never updating anything at all (except prices).
I get that there are other places to drink in Davison with much better atmosphere, but those seven dollar Captain and Cokes pay for well lit clean bathrooms, upholstered chairs that aren’t from VFW surplus, and to maybe be inviting enough for an unaccompanied woman to walk into and feel safe. Madden’s is getting away with charging you almost hotel or Hamlin prices (okay definitely not Hamlin) and sitting you in a seedy Eagles club. The service and food are great, but it’s really like you’re already paying to be somewhere nicer.

Wonderful place. Good food. Great service. Alisha, I believe, was our waitress. She was fantastic. Left $2 bills for tip. Will be back

This is a nice cozy bar and restaurant. The place is clean. There’s pull tabs, lottery, and pool to play. TVs to watch and music playing. The waitress was very friendly. I ordered a patty melt with no mushrooms and onion rings. She brought me a patty melt with mushrooms and no onions. When I told her three cook made a mistake and put mushrooms on she took full responsibility and said it was her fault. She said she thought I said only mushrooms. She even said they thought it was odd I didn’t want onions on my patty melt but wanted onion rings. She apologized and got me a new patty melt. She came back and apologized again while waiting for the new one and quite a few times more before I left. She came back and checked on me and refilled my drink. She was over all a really good waitress. The food was delicious. The onion rings are the best! Everything came out and fresh.
I would definitely come back here. It’s a nice laid back place to relax and eat after a long day at work.
Update 04/16/25
The place hasn’t changed much. Service was good but a little slow today. Nothing major though. Food was brought to me hot and fresh. I would have like mayo, mustard and ketchup put on my burger, but everything tasted good. They are expensive for what you get but it tastes good, it’s hot, and it comes out fairly quick.
I would go back again but not often because of the prices.

Very busy at 11:30 on a Friday night. Drink prices were very affordable. Lots of seating for larger parties.

The cheese sticks were really, really good! The chicken strips and fries were good, but the coleslaw is a no go for me. A little pricey, but not too bad I guess…our waitress was very nice, and we were happy that there were a bunch of TVs for us to watch the Lions game on. Over all, I’m glad we stopped in.

The bar food is good, haven’t had a bad thing yet. Also service is quick, nice, helpful, and sometimes you get an outgoing one which is a plus. The lighting is a little gloomy and the bathrooms are cramped and need more attention for cleanliness. Other then that an all around good place to socialize and enjoy a lunch or night out with friends or family.

We were there for a benefit and it was quite clear the management felt the crowd was a nuisance. We asked for a volleyball for the kids that were there. I asked the bartender, in which she asked him. He was busy, which I understood, and waited patiently for 20 ish minutes. When I asked him as he walked by, he said, “it’s going to be a bit, we put it all away, and yeah, I don’t know where it is. Could be in the shed, really it could be anywhere. I don’t know if I’ll get there or if I’ll have time.” In a very rude tone. There were 100s of people there, in their establishment spending money at the benefit and on their food/drinks. The manager (guy with dark hair and green shirt) couldn’t take a couple minutes to grab a volleyball and he acted as if the request was completely inappropriate. My daughter, who helped set up the benefit, also stated that was his response about any request they had throughout the evening. If a benefit is not something they want to accommodate, they should say that. It was already an emotional time for the family and he seemed as if we were inconveniencing him and their establishment. The bartenders were very pleasant.
