Not happy with my experience at this L&L
First I ordered my meals to go and also got fountain drinks with it. On my way out I went to get a Sprite and there were black particles falling into my sprite and I mentioned it to the cashier and they offered me a new cup. I checked the Sprite again from the machine and there were bigger black specks that looked like mold falling into my sprite, I then showed the cashier what I was talking about about. I asked for a refund for my drink because she only offered me another cup. I asked how much a canned soda was and she said it was $3.50 that’s astronomical. There should be no particles falling into my drink at all and a small canned soda should not cost that much, I could have at least just been offered a canned soda as a replacement instead of another cup. After this I just brought dinner home it was a BBQ mixed plate and a BBQ chicken plate and a side of Mac salad. As soon as I sat down with my husband to eat we noticed the meat in both of our plates were overly salty as if it were just cooked in only salt. We are used to the sweet flavor of the teriyaki that L&L is known for that’s used on items like the mixed plates, chicken plates and masubi. My plate had little to no sauce. Not only was the food salty but there was a light HAIR in my chicken! It couldn’t have been mine or my husband’s because we have black hair. It was blonde or maybe a white hair. I ended up driving back to L&L and showed the cashier the plate and shared it didn’t taste good and showed her the hair and asked to have it remade because we spent nearly 50 dollars for the meals It should be done right. My husband and I understand accidents happen but this was just super disappointing because we don’t often eat out and when we do, L&L was one of our go to places. I tasted the remade food and it was still bad, I asked if maybe they changed the recipe for the food and they denied any changes. I was told the meat is pre-marinated so I’m unsure if the marinate was just bad for the batch they had but the meat was still too salty in my opinion. I got a refund for the meals and took our business somewhere else. I was frustrated at this point mainly just wanting to be home with dinner already but I’m glad to have got refunded. The remade food couldn’t be taken back and was going to be thrown away and I hate the idea of wasting food. I brought it with me and gave one of the plates away to a homeless man at the stoplight by Walmart who had a sign asking for food. He picked the BBQ mixed plate. I was left with a BBQ chicken plate. I tried finding someone else who could use some food but there was no one else outside at the time. We ended up getting Panda for Dinner and I put the chicken plate in the fridge. Upon inspecting this morning, the chicken still has feathers on it too! It wasn’t fully plucked and looked weird. I threw it away. I’m glad I didn’t give this one to someone else. I won’t be coming to this location again. I really hope management makes a change at this location because it used to be really good and although the employees remade the food they looked annoyed for even asking it to be remade. I’m sure if it was their food they would understand. Only plus was the Macaroni Salad. There are other L&Ls, but I don’t recommend this one.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 – Chicken katsu mini lunch special had half of the chicken pieces way too dry. The sauce is needed but still doesn’t help the texture enough. The Diet Coke/Pepsi we got was a bit odd in taste
Loco loco regular with sunny side up eggs. The eggs weren’t cooked well with one egg almost completely raw and the other too cooked where it was mostly solid. The burger patty was dry and chewy and not enough gravy
Ambience: N/A – ordered food to go. Store feels clean and brightly lit
Service: 4/5 – came during lunch rush and the female manager/cashier did amazing by herself but she was definitely pulled in multiple directions

Last time I ordered from this place about a month ago. Picked up my order got home and was excited to get my grub on. I actually got a Luke warm/cold plate that probably someone else ordered and canceled so they decided to give me the plate to save time for them. It only takes one mishap for me and I will never return.

Found this place when i stopped by the area. Happy its so close to my house. Ive always loved L&L and they never skimp on the amount of food they give you. My favorite is the chicken katsu curry, absolutely delicious. If you are in the west reno area, stop by.

Love this place! Food is authentic and delicious. Have been here a couple of times and it is definitely one of the best food spots in Reno. The Kalua Pork is fantastic. The Chicken Katsu is on point, the teriyaki chicken is fantastic, and I love the mac salad. Rice is cooked well also.
I would highly recommend stopping in. The atmosphere is clean and laid back and the staff are super nice and welcoming.

Food quality isn’t what it used to be. Got 2 orders of lumpia and it wasn’t very good. Not worth $20 for 10 pieces of lumpia. Customer service was good.

I came in asked for a burger combo plain meat cheese and bun. Then they come back out with condiments on it. I respectfully ask for a burger without it . So the go back there scrape it off bun and burger nuke it on the grill then through 2 pieces of cold cheese on it with condiments. Nothing good to say

Recently, I took my children to this establishment for dinner. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not very busy, and it took an unusually long time for my food to be prepared. I noticed that the waitress appeared to be engaged in a conversation with the cook or was using her phone when she inquired about the readiness of my order. She responded by saying, “No, have a seat. I will let you know when it’s done.” I observed that the food could be placed in the “Ready” window. When I approached her again to inquire about the status of my order, she denied it once more. I pointed out that I believed the food in the window, which had been there for quite some time, was ready. However, she responded with an attitude and stated, “I guess let me check.” Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment due to the unprofessional and unattentive behavior of the staff.
