by and far vernon’s most beloved restaurant, and for good reason!! the food is sooooooo good !! even when the place is packed, you never wait too long for your food. it’s always nice and quiet since everyone’s busy enjoying their food lol. whenever we go to oh kim’s we brag to the friends that couldn’t make it. also they have the best takoyaki in BC you literally cannot find better. also its so clean. even the bathroom smells fresh. this place will change your life you need to go like yesterday

OHKIM, there is not enough good things I can say about this restaurant.
While I was working in Vernon over the summer, I think we went like, 10 times. The service was amazing but the food….best sushi we’ve ever had in our entire lives.
I highly recommend the salmon sashimi, the taro milk tea, the sweet potato tempura and takoyaki.
I will miss OHKIM so much. I cannot wait to go back. WELL DONE. I recommend you guys to everyone who visits Vernon.

I’ve been going to OHKIM sushi for a few years now and it is easily my favourite sushi place in the area. Fantastic fresh food, and incredibly fast service. I once ordered, went to the washroom, and came back to my food ready. WOW! Not only is the food delicious, it’s quite reasonably priced. You can get a nice sushi roll and appetizer for close to $15. Surprisingly even ordering through door dash is such a good experience. It’s packaged in a way where it stays fresh and hot! Lastly the environment there is so lovely. My family and myself always feel so welcomed by the staff. Thank you OHKIM! Cheers to many more visits in the future.

I was blown away with the takeout order I got from Ohkim this past week. I’m from Calgary and came out to help my dad and picked up a party tray for our crew. It was incredible! Excellent variety and everything was so fresh and generous portions. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for sushi. The interior is cute and relaxed and the staff were so friendly. Thanks for a great meal!

Hands down the most underrated sushi spot around. 5/5 honestly does not justify this place. I’ve been coming to OHKIM since around 2011 or 2013, so well over a decade, and not once have I had a bad meal or poor service.
Has it been a little slower lately? Maybe. It’s getting busier and busier, which says a lot on its own.
I’ve traveled all over the world and sushi is always my go to, including many spots throughout Asia. I was just in Vancouver trying a few 4.9 rated places and none of them compared to OHKIM.
Everything is made fresh, with authenticity and care. You can taste the difference.
Quality portions as well! Like the salmon sashimi? Crème dela crème…

Probably one of the best sushi meals I’ve ever had. Ordered sashimi, tuna roll, silver star and dynamite roll. They all tasted amazing. Service was super quick. Will definitely be going back again

I recently dined at this restaurant again, and it was a strange experience compared to my previous visits. While the service was quick and pleasant, the food quality seemed lacking. We arrived close to closing time, and though our order was delivered swiftly, the presentation was disappointing. The eel wasn’t trimmed properly and stung when chewed. Some rolls were drenched in sauce, making them soggy, while others were overloaded with ingredients, resulting in an unbalanced taste. Overall, both the food and interior need improvement.

My favorite place to get sushi. I have done both dine in and takeout and have only had awesome experiences with both. Staff are always helpful and friendly and the food is amazing and fresh.
