Wonderful meal! I was so happy to find a place that has asian influence! Our food was very well presented and delicious! Cute atmosphere which made the whole experience that much better. The cocktail selection was also very nice!

We love this new restaurant in Manitowish Waters! Great ambiance and awesome Asian-inspired food. My husband loves the Sticky ribs and Wasabi mash, he had this before and couldn’t wait to have again! I had the Orange marmalade chicken and last night tried the Golden Harvest salad (had to try their cold-foam Parmesan cheese which is served with salad) …yum!!! We shared the Mango custard (frozen) on one of our visits as well! (We easily made a reservation online.)

The wait on Friday night was about an hour and a half, so we just left. The place was slammed and it was 7:30 pm. So we decided to get smart and made a reservation for Saturday evening. The place was dead on Saturday. Same blonde hostess with the glasses was still snotty and short like they were slammed, but there was plenty of open tables at 6:30 pm. Our server was spunky and friendly, despite the stuck up hostess, we ordered some fun cocktails. We were excited while checking out the menu, lots of fun options. Food came out, it was ok. It’s a bummer when you go out and hope for great food when you pay big dollars. The food we make at home is better, and the service from the hostess could have been a lot better as well.

Fantastic meal and service! Loved the unique menu! The marmalade chicken was our favorite. Loved the katsu chicken, Riley, sticky ribs, egg rolls, marinated eggs, pork lettuce wraps and Wasabi mash. Excellent!! The lychee martini was so good and not too sweet. Our waiter was great too!

Oh my goodness!! Run don’t walk to this place! We took a chance and we are sooooo glad we did! Great service, fantastic drinks (I had the ginger old fashion), and even better food. Wasabi mashed potatoes…whaaaaat? DELICIOUS!! Fish tacos DELICIOUS!! Everything DELICIOUS!!

Outstanding experience all around. The food was a welcome, fresh and important addition to the Northwoods restaurant experience. Asian fusion is the lead story, but a burger centric friend had what looked to be, and later verified as an incredible Wagu burger experience as well. The sushi grade tuna Poke Bowl, was outstanding. The spicy Udon noodles with chicken was raved about and the Shrimp tempura was a definite must have next time. Grilled avacado, pan fired dumplings were great openers. Service was incredible, friendly and attentive. We were there early so it was a little cool in the restaurant as they had just opened. But, they remedied that experience effectively with a space heater.

Introduced my Guy’s Weekend crew to Meggie’s this past Thursday. The welcome was warm and the pre-dinner old fashioneds were on point. (Highly recommend the on-the-cinnimonny bourbon variety.) The hostess/server handled our lightly buzzed banter like a pro, memorizing names as she took the time to expertly and enthusiastically guide us through the menu and specials. Speaking of menus (and ambience): Bravo to Meggie’s for daring to diverge from Northwoods mainstays and interior design motifs. The asian-infused small plates and main features are numerous enough to allow lots of mixing and matching, but not so much so that you experience decision paralysis. And the upscale casual dining area offers a calm, intimate environment for savoring excellent food and conversation. Highly recommend.

Dinner for 2 couples. Shrimp tempura appetizer SUPERB ! Chicken katsu and shrimp tempura/ udon noodle soup excellent. Waitstaff were warm / attentive – just right. Meggies is our regular go-to restaurant for good reasons

The place is nice and cozy. The food and staff were amazing. My hat off to that unbelievable food that the chef had prepared for us. Second time there and we will keep going there every time we are up that way.
