My wife and I ordered an appetizer of potato skins, a French dip sandwich, and the Greek Gyro platter. When served, only the sandwiches came out, no appetizer. As we had already waited, we didn’t bother pointing out the missing appetizer. My French dip was serviceable, but I feel like a $17 sandwich should be better than just “meh”. My wife’s gyro however was terrible. A ton of tomato, a few slivers of onion, and a tiny smudge of tzatziki sauce on an anemic portion of meat. It was also $17 and a huge disappointment.
When the bill came the only happiness of the evening was discovering the reason no potato skins didn’t come is because the order was never placed, so no charge on those! How lucky!
Maybe they were having an off night, but we certainly won’t be back and would never recommend it.

My mom and I frequent Valiant for lunch when I travel back to MI from out of state. Each time we’ve gone, we’ve been lucky to sit in Justice’s section. She always greets us with a smile, is patient with my mom, and provides wonderful service that keeps us coming back.
Thank you for your service and kindness Justice, it’s much appreciated.

My wife and I have been meaning to try this place for a while now and weren’t disappointed. The food ( Ribs and saganaki were great!) and atmosphere were good, but what put our experience over the top was our server Jaden. It was her first day, and she absolutely killed it! Pleasant, fun and smiling the whole time. Thanks, Jaden. We’ll be back.

I got a Ruben sandwich, the corned beef was like leather and they charged my $4 for barely a handful of fries. The service was good though.

My visit was on a Wednesday with My Husband. We arrived at around 6:30 PM. We had considered the other restaurants in town but Valiant’s menu offered us many more choices. That said we had to be out of the house and again decided on this restaurant due to its many more choices on the online menu compared to other others in town and we didn’t want to drive all the way to Ann Arbor or Jackson. It was not terribly busy so we were able to sit in a booth as we wanted to. The booth was a little bit too straight on the back for me. You can’t really get comfortable in them, but of course they have lots of chairs available. We looked at the drink menu and we noticed that most things are priced better than we expected them to be but we just had ice waters. My Husband ordered a meatball sandwich with french fries. Keep in mind he travels a lot including Europe so he’s had a lot of food at restaurants and he said the meatball sandwich was adequate. I tasted his fries and I thought they could’ve done a much better job. He did eat them, but yeah, they were just mediocre. I ordered the fish tacos. It came with three; they were cod according to the menu. There was a little bit of slaw on top and a spicy sauce. I thought they were good I mean, were they the best I’ve ever had but they were up there. And I didn’t want the tortilla chips so I ordered onion rings and they were yummy. You could tell due to the lack of uniformity that they were hand tossed. I could be wrong. There may be a bag brand out there that causes them to be more hand tossed looking, but they were good. if I could tell the restaurant to do one thing is to offer a sauce to go on the side with the onion rings. I could’ve asked, but I didn’t bother. I did appreciate that some of the televisions did not have sports on one was a game show and so we liked the variety that we could go back-and-forth. The young waitress was nice, but she probably could’ve checked in on us a couple times and we would’ve given her a bigger tip . We gave the standard %20. I noticed there were a lot of desserts on the menu and it would’ve been fun to try one of those, but we’re cutting back on sugar right now. I will say because I don’t eat big meals that I was able to eat all of the fish tacos and most of the onion rings and I didn’t feel bogged down afterwards. Oh, I also would’ve appreciated two pieces of lime. The one was not enough to get all over the food. The restaurant is set up nice overall you have window views the bar two separate eating areas you’re not on top of everybody else. The tables are spaced nicely. If I wanted to be nitpicky, I could give the place an average three but we need to visit a couple more times before we would do that. Keep in mind I’m rating this as a place where I know there’s not a chef in back. There’s a cook. And for this reason, we rate accordingly.

Cassandra K was our server. She was wonderful, polite and there every time we needed her. The food was delicious. We’re local so we’re always in. The chicken lemon rice soup is our favorite. Today we tried the sirloin kabobs. 12/10 recommend.

Was so excited to see spinach pie on the menu. I ordered the chicken lemon rice soup and spinach pie. Soup was thick and very good. The spinach pie – it was spinach and cumin in philo dough. I swore the menu said it had feta on it. It was not good. I have never experienced cumin in spinach pie. I almost wonder if someone grabbed the wrong ingredient and forgot the cheese. It looked homemade. We were just passing through Chelsea and thought we would try it. On a high note the coffee was good.

They have a very large selection. We got a Chicken Parm sandwich and Mushroom Swiss burger. They both tasted great! The service was good and this place definitely has the sports bars atmosphere.

Tldr: expensive and small portions.
Went there for lunch. The cheapest burger on the menu was $15, and came with potato chips. If you want fries, it’s $4 extra. So $19 for a burger. Ouch. On top of it the burger was small.
Their chicken sandwich was small and not particularly good. I ordered the Caribbean jerk, which ended up being more like barbecue sauce.
They’ve got outside seating, which is nice this time of year. But you’ve got a view of the parking lot so okay. Inside is a bunch of TVs.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Varliant Bar and Grill in Chelsea. The burger and nachos are delicious! Great atmosphere to play Keno and relax. We even ordered a pizza to go for later! Thanks to Melenie for being a terrific server and taking care of us!
