When I took my first sip, I noticed how smooth it was — not bitter at all. Then came a gentle hint of acidity, just enough to remind me of the true character of original coffee. It felt balanced and comforting.
The building itself carries a beautiful antique charm, and the interior and chairs reflect the same timeless warmth. Sitting there felt like stepping into a quiet moment from the past.
It’s a place that softly invites me to come back again.
I came in after a long morning of moving and first meal of the day. I had the quiche it was ok nothing special.
My main concern about my experience was with Madison. I used to work in restaurants and customer service many years ago so I understand how it can be hard to work with customers. I asked how her day was I shared briefly mine. I asked her about the food and my order it felt as if I was bothering her.
Also I got my food and no one told me the plate was hot. I burned my fingers and palm of hand. I did ask the workers if I could get some ice. One worker was very nice to put some ice in the bag.
Not all the workers but some gave me Gen Z vibes especially Madison. Customers are not always right but as someone who worked in restaurants and similar places it the job in the front of the house to be friendly and not get annoyed when someone has questions.
Also when I asked for a bag of ice Madison rolled her eyes as I was wrong to ask for something. I’m sorry but no one told me the plate was hot. Very rude. I will not be back to this location in a while.
I go here to meet with friends or clients when I want a change of pace from the cookie-cutter one-on-every-corner coffee shops all over Orange County. When you come here, you’ll enjoy your drink if you stay, and you might even strike up a conversation with the people hanging out. This has happened more than once to me, and the chats are always interesting.
In my opinion, by far the best drink is the Monkey Mocha. The flat white is pretty good if you want something more “traditional.” My wife likes the Zebra Mocha. The staff is always friendly, and they seem to enjoy working there.
They have decent wifi and a few tables you can work from if you get to find an empty one. Going back to what I said about the friendly locals, sometimes you can even share a table with a stranger, and it works out just fine. It’s definitely a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts.
