I really enjoyed their authentic Korean dish with my husband. I had Korean cold noodle (Naengmyeon) and grilled eel with the rice. It was all delicious and everyone was so nice and sweet there. If you love Asian food and Korean dish you should come to Toro! I love their authentic food 🙂

delicious food and wonderful service! will definitely be back to this flavor-gem in an often bland neighborhood!
slight dislike of the overly bright and abundant lighting in the dining room (wish they would turn off the in-set lights and just have the garlands and globes), but that’s a personal preference so i’m not going to down-mark the stars, just mention it here

Love this place. Order the bossam and it was delicious, as well as the bibimpap. It’s one of the best Korean food I’ve ever had.

one of my favourite places to go to for dinner. they’re one of the few places to offer things like cold noodles in the area. i enjoy their dishes like the pork shoulder and scallion pancakes. the service is welcoming and homey. definitely recommend going here for a solo meal, a date, or with a group of friends.

I’ve been coming to Toro since I was a kid. Whenever my family wanted sushi this was our go to spot. Only a few years back I realized the owners were Korean and that they had a beautiful Korean menu as well. The food, service, and atmosphere has always been great but my recent visit was exceptional. I was so excited to try authentic Naeng Myun and the banchan that came with it was soo good. I’m so happy to see this family with a full restaurant after so many years. I can’t wait to come back!

I’m truly no expert, but to me, Toro feels really authentic to the traditional restaurants I went to in Japan and Korea. This is my go-to sushi spot in the area. I don’t get why it doesn’t have a higher rating, but maybe people need to consider that high quality sushi isn’t inexpensive. I think that’s why they keep a smaller menu too, to stay high on quality and authenticity. Anyway, the food is delicious (non-sushi, too) and the service/atmosphere is lovely.

Very good Korean food, a surprise to find this far north. The service and ambience are quite nice and homey, it wasn’t too busy so the food was quite quick. The menu is surprisingly large so I’ll have to come back to try the other Korean and Japanese options. The kimchee pancake was extremely crispy, the crispiest I’ve had, but quite good if you don’t mind the fried-ness. The Yukaejang was also quite good and traditional tasting. The squid bibimbap was also quite good.

As unbias as one can be this establishment is just too hard to critique on it. Everything from the taste of the food, to the service, the variety, the portion size, it’s all worth the prize. Sure it may be a bit expensive but they got lunch deals that practically give you plenty of your money worth for the amount you will get. Not to mention they got lunch deals on the sushi plates as well. Truly a hidden gem in the area and a must with friends and family.

Pros:

– A lot of variety (food/drinks)
– Wheelchair accessible
– Portion size
– Customer service
– Cleanliness
– Friendly staff

[Bonus] There’s lollipops as a thank you treat for eating at the establishment.

Cons:

– It can feel a bit expensive outside lunch
– Lighting is a bit dim but not too drastic

Satisfying everytime! Delicious pancake, chicken wings and tofu. The lunch entrees hit the spot. It was quite busy for a Friday lunch with people dining in and taking out but the staff were so efficient and the food was tasty! Will go back with friends!
