I have been told by several people that I should try out Baldarotta’s.
Here is my review:
The location of this quaint little restaurant is off on a quiet side road. If you didn’t know what you were looking for, you will miss it. This restaurant is the definition of a “hole in the wall”; but let me tell you, this restaurant is a “diamond in the rough”. Walking up to the restaurant, I noticed that there is outdoor seating with several patio furnishings. Upon entering, there is hip-hop music playing with approximately 15 tables at the entrance and additional seating in a private room. Speaking of seating, there is a theme to the restaurant tables and seating where they are all different. As an example, you can be at one table, but have four different type chairs at the table. The place has an excellent vibe of character that makes its presence known immediately upon entering. The tables were all clean and the bathrooms are quite large and girls have several stalls. There is no large menu board; rather there are paper menus next to the register. As far as the food; we had the Baldarotta, Goddfella, and Porketta Fries. The food was absolutely amazing. It took 7 minutes for the Porketta fries and an additional 7-10 minutes for our sandwiches. That being said, it is definitely worth the wait. I would definitely say these are gourmet sandwiches. My summary is this: there is no upscale location or fancy advertising for this restaurant. There doesn’t need to be. This is a place that “If ya know; ya know” type restaurant. Fantastic food and great environment. As always, I have several photos for your review and our receipt.
Free parking at back of building.
They make hot and cold sandwiches with the main difference being that the hot sandwiches turn out greasy due to the juiciness and fat of the meats. Their meats are really tender and super moist, which easily gets absorbed into the bread. So if eating messy is not your thing, then go with the cold sandwiches. I prefer the cold over hot myself, but there’s no wrong choice here when it comes to taste. My favorites are the Caprese, Salami & Artichoke, Turkey Pesto, and Brisket Sandwich.
The staff is always friendly and prepare the food with care. Keep up the amazing work!
