Absolutely a wonderful place yo go and enjoy incredible good, service and atmosphere. The meats for the sandwiches are done there and some of the best I’ve had.

My first ever experience with C&R was for my wedding reception. We hosted the reception in the party room there and it was the perfect size for our 50 guests. Food was exceptional, the planner we worked with was flexible, attentive, and highly communicative, and the entire day went off without a hitch. We went back this evening with our children to celebrate 1 month of being an “official” family. Again, food was delicious, portions were beyond generous, price for a family of 4 was great, and the wait staff was incredibly attentive. We will absolutely be repeat customers.

Fantastic place.
Food is fabulous and so is the service. We live 45 minutes away and can’t wait to go back again.

Back again. 10/23
I had the liver, onions and bacon again, it’s the best around.
My wife had the hamburger, it must be at least a 1/3 pound.
Both meals were excellent.

Had the roast pork dinner with dressing and mashed potatoes
The soup was potato corn chowder with ham. Tried the mixed fruit pie with crumble top.
Everything was fantastic as usual.
Always worth the trip.

Tried the New Years eve buffet. Excellent, especially prime rib and candied carrots. My wife had the twin pork chops and said they were delicious. Wish we’d had room for desert.

I’ve been going here for a long time, and the food has always been great. Ever since the new owners took over, I feel like the food has been getting worse. I had to send my food back twice because the prime rib was raw in the middle both times. The server said the kitchen checked the temperature, but I guess the thermometer was broken or they just don’t know how to check properly. The fantail shrimp that I ordered were good but were sitting in a pool of oil. The salad was the best part of the whole meal. I would have loved to have my mashed potatoes, but I never got them (I would say that was partly my fault because I forgot about them until I was walking out the door). Also, some older guy in a grey shirt came out of the kitchen (not sure if he’s the owner or just a line cook) and asked where the table was that sent back the prime rib. The servers said , “Right there,” and even pointed at my table. If he wanted to talk to me, he could have walked over to the table, and I would have gladly shown him how to calibrate his thermometer or even cook. Only good thing here is the desserts that they do get homemade from another place, but they didn’t have the one I want tonight which is no big deal. I will just have to come back on Friday when they get them in. The owner needs better cooks……The server was great…….Get rid of those TVs that show the specials on them because you have to sit there for a couple of minutes before the screen shuffles through all the irrelevant information before you see them, and go back to a chalkboard…….End of rant

Update after owner replied:
Stop calling your person in the kitchen a chef…..he came out with a grey t-shirt on. A real chef wears a chef coat and takes pride in every dish he puts out. And I shouldn’t have to ask to speak with a manager a real manager that knows how to run a restaurant has the servers let them know what is going on and that manager goes to the table. A customer shouldn’t have to ask for a manager ever. Yes a medium rare steak is between 130-140 but I’m telling you that steak was deep red in the middle which indicates that it’s on the very rare side. Also when it was recooked the 2nd time that took 2 min longer sitting in the jus/microwave but still came out 145 (supposedly). It was on the rare almost medium rare side, that’s when I said whatever. Also a negative review definitely defines you….all reviews do because that is actually what happened at your restaurant and tell new customers what it’s actually like at your restaurant. You definitely do not invest in higher ingredients, if you want better ingredients I can tell you where to get them but than again this business is too challenging for you…….so you know what they say you can’t take the heat stay out of the kitchen and let the people that know what they are doing run it. You don’t need the best ingredients either to make something taste great and that is cooked properly. Also like I said previously if you want me to teach your staff how to cook I can because all the restaurants around you are way better. Also I will be going to the other restaurants now (not like I came to your restaurant all the time anyways) and so will all the other people I know from this area and the restaurant businesses I have worked for.

Just a little fun fact for you all the owners that I have seen reply to their customer’s comments have all shut the doors to their restaurants because they are all focused to much on what is being said instead of taking a complaint and learning from it after they have fixed the problem.

Hubby and I just came home from a delicious lunch at C & R. Our waitress, Shawnna, was an absolute delight. We had the soup special, wings, liver & onions, and a turkey & cranberry sandwich. We highly recommend C & R Restaurant.

Few people in there, a table of 10, table of 3 and another couple. Very slow getting our food. They put all there.
Effort in the table of ten. The 2 other tables were complaining. We just waited. I ordered the steak and eggs the steak was mostly fat overcooked on one side and almost raw the other. Very thin. I would have rather had a thicker piece possibly smaller.I doubt it was eight ounces. The eggs were fine, the toast was good, i shouldn’t have bothered with that steak. I spent way too much time in there. I’ve been wanting to try their breakfast. I was very disappointed.

Well the waffle fries are good. I also had calamari, it was Luke warm by the time I got it, I also had a Philly cheese steak it was under cooked and fatty. They gave us dirty plates, food splater on the walls and seats. Not going here again.

Been a while since I have reviewed this restaurant , and I wanted to reiterate all the bad things: NOTHING! We eat breakfasts and diners here, and both are always good. Have never once been disappointed. Great food, reasonable prices, and very friendly service. The beer on tap is also great.

C&R is a great restaurant. The food is always delicious. Local hangout with a friendly atmosphere. There can be a wait for the food, but patience is a virtue!
