You absolutely have to try the Shrimp giouvetsi and the Calamarata Iberico… OMG!
Bravo to the talented chef Konstantina Panagiotopoulou. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Athens and already looking forward to it. ✨
first day of exploring the city—and what a find it was! Wanting to taste as much as possible, we shared several small plates, and every dish delivered. The tyrokafteri was light with wonderful red pepper flavor and just the right touch of heat. The lamb croquettes were our favorite—perfect texture and incredible flavor, elevated by the accompanying tomato tapenade and creamy cheese. The potato pie was another standout, with thinly sliced potatoes, leeks, and rich cheese—an elevated take on chips and dip. The restaurant’s take on moussaka was also fantastic, with flavors that truly melted in your mouth. Having attended the Food & Wine Classic just last month, we can honestly say the food here was on par with—if not better than—many of the standout dishes we tasted there.
Service was just as memorable. Demetrius made excellent recommendations, and the server took care to explain and highlight each one as it arrived. We ended the meal with the Armenovil dessert, which was packed with nuts and flavor and paired with a complimentary cordial—an unexpected and delightful finish. From start to finish, everything was outstanding, and definitely recommend.
The atmosphere of this restaurant was very warm and inviting. The tables were uncluttered, crisp and clean in appearance without that awful paper table clothes over cloth you encounter in so many restaurants in Athens.
We were warmly greeted and escorted to our table. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and menu, providing suggestions if we asked.
We started with Crispy Calamari which was fresh and delicious! My husband had the ribs. We have eaten ribs from Virginia to Florida and these were the best hand down!! The sauce was sweet but not overpowering and the meat was so tender it fell off the bone! I had the lamb which was seasoned subtly with fennel and was tender and juicy. We ordered the kumuru for dessert and was not disappointed! They also brought a small extra dessert, not on the menu, that was made with lime sorbet, it was outstanding!
Please plan on eating here it was well worth the money and time.
The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the staff are always kind and friendly. The food is amazing — everything I tried was so tasty! The grouper tartar, pastitsio, and gyoza were especially interesting and something new for me, in the best way. The new menu was a great surprise, full of fresh and delicious flavors. And that yogurt dessert… oh, it’s the best way to end any dinner! You just can’t leave without trying it. Highly recommend!
Stephano has been incredibly attentive, making us feel truly welcomed, and all the staff are impressively knowledgeable about the menu. Dimitris, who served us yesterday, was also amazing — warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does.
We absolutely love the team, the cozy environment, and of course, the delicious food. This is hands down our favorite restaurant of our entire Europe trip.
Thank you so much to everyone here for your wonderful hospitality — we’ll definitely come back when we visit Athens again!
