We had some friends recommend this place to us. We are very familiar with Peruvian food and this was not it at all. First off our friends were telling the owner that they had been there 5 years ago, we didn’t realize it had been so long. The owner quickly jumped in and was like oh my gosh my ex wife worked here and I am sorry and he really talked up his food like it was phenomenal. It was not good at all. I didn’t even finish my food and we didn’t want to take any of it home. The lomo saltado didn’t even taste like lomo. It needed more oil and vinegar. The meat was so hard after he told us that he used a special kind of meat and he had two prices for the lomo on the menu but of course no longer has the cheaper option. The jalea didn’t have salt. The food was just really really bland. I think it was worse that he was telling us how great it was and how he is such a better cook than his ex. I wouldn’t waste my money here. The chicha morada was like $7 a cup. It was not worth it. Go to casa Peru instead. We honestly felt so grossed out that the next day we went to casa Peru just to get a good taste of Peruvian food. We should have known when we got there around 7 and the restaurant was empty.

An absolutely amazing experience with an amazing group of people running this restaurant. Everyone was so kind and so willing to explain all of the different things on the menu. I got so full and was so satisfied that I will know for a fact, I will be back. I highly recommend Don Pedrito to anyone looking for a little bit of Peruvian flare. They’re fresh juices are absolutely amazing and the poor man steak was even better

Every time we come to SLC we have to stop here. I absolutely love the jalea and the seco de cordero. They are both full of flavor. The owner is very attentive and the service was great overall. P.d I’m from Peru and my husband from Colombia. We will be back!

When I say the food was DELICIOUS, it still does not describe how good the food is. The owner Don Pedrito is such a friendly, welcoming, and attentive person that made the restaurant a truly welcoming experience. Now the food? Amazing. Such rich flavor that I couldn’t get enough of it. I definitely will make this restaurant my go to spot.

Don Pedrito is friendly and visits with customers. The daughter is a server and very attentive. Two of the three portions were big. It may have been because we went
near closing. I ordered carnitas. It came with fries and a pico. The pico was too salty for me. The other two dishes were tasty and salted just right. I’ll go back.
