Southern small town dining at its absolute best! We are so picky on restaurants that cook Catfish in the same fryer because usually everything will taste like catfish. We called them to ask if they fry them in the same fryer And they said yes, even tho we were willing to give them a try. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed right away and made to feel comfortable and gave us the menu. We were “Hangry” at that time, so we ordered with our eyes instead of our stomach. No regrets tho!!! We ordered a bowl of Seafood Gumbo and Crawfish Étouffée and Imperial Stuffed Crab. Then they brought the Hushpuppies, salad dressing (which we didn’t touch) and fries (they were amazing). I don’t know if I would say “Save the best for last” because everything was so great, we got the Crawfish Big Easy Pasta. It’s worth it! The atmosphere was extremely friendly and family friendly. Lovely Local shack to eat!!! Definitely will go back, not tomorrow because they’re closed due to Prom. After you eat all this feast, we recommend that you to go to Downtown to walk out the extra calories y’all ate here! Everything we ate was amazingly delicious.
I had shrimp and fries. The shrimp was lightly coated. Everly came out hot.
Hubby had an oyster po’boy and gumbo and he really enjoyed it.
The staff was friendly and informative on the area.
