Lao Ocean’s owner was born in Laos, so we know our Laos food, but we also love food from other cultures that we bring to the table as well. We want to serve good food that we grew up with and love, and share it with everyone. We want everyone to eat- that’s why we offer delicious vegan, vegetarian, gluten free options. We have a bigger menu because we want everyone to have something they can say they absolutely love. Main foods on the menu are asian fusion (thai, laos,some japanese inspired, some vietnamese inspired) Authentic Laotian salads, Authentic thai stir fry, soups, curries. Japanese teriyaki, ramen, sushi, poke bowls and Vietnamese Noodle soups-pho. We can make most dishes vegan, gluten free, or vegetarian upon request!

Dinner here for the first time. Group of 6 and didn’t have too much trouble getting everyone seated. No alcoholic beverages available. I had the Pad See Ew with crispy chicken level 3 hot. It was very good actually. Never ordered this dish before and I was pleasantly surprised. It sure did take a minute for our dishes to arrive and the waitress apologized and said that excessive take out orders was the reason. Waitress was excellent, atmosphere was fine. It’s pretty basic setup. Not pictured was the fried pork belly we ordered for the table and it was okay. Bit burnt but fine. I live a good 30 minutes away so it’s rare to be out here, but I wouldn’t mind dining here again. I’d like to try other dishes on the menu.

So many good things to eat here and all of them are fabulous. Sushi, Thai, Lao, no matter what you choose it will be freshly made and with great flavors. They have excellent Boba and have mastered Southern Sweet Tea.

I ordered two poke bowls and a Thai tea for pickup and I was going to use two $25 gift cards, which I called beforehand to see if I could use and they said yes. Once I got there and was paying they told me that the system was down( yea right) and didn’t accept my gift cards. Anyways it costed 48 dollars for two small poke bowls had very little tuna/salmon and they were extremely small with the portions of rice too and I was left very disappointed.
Id recommend literally getting sushi or poke bowls from anywhere else, even Publix or fresh market, Bluefin Poke is better as it costs only like 13 dollars a bowl and they’re generous with the portions.

Usually their food is great, but it took 40 minutes for me to get a pickup order today! The previous times it hasn’t been that bad of a wait, but always 20+ minutes for a single order. I think that’s a little much.

I was very pleased with my experience at Lao Ocean. I’m a picky eater so everytimg s/o and I get Thai (Laotian) food I get tom yum soup. Lao Ocean has the best tom yum I’ve ever had. I could cry just thinking about it. S/o got pineapple shrimp fried rice and it was delicious. There was enough for both of us to have leftovers. I can’t wait to go back and get the drunken noodles… and more tom yum. Not to mention, our service was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and high spirited. Prices were extremely fair for the quantity and quality. This is my new favorite restaurant. Thank you Lao Ocean!

The food was good, however, I ordered online for takeout and was given a specific time to pick up my food approximately 30 minutes later. I went in to pick it up and they said it would be another 30 minutes. So I waited in my car. Went back in 30 minutes later and was told it was almost ready. 25 minutes later, I finally had my food in hand, no apologies, no added perk for the additional hour wait. Also the order was missing fortune cookies, peanut sauce and spring rolls. The restaurant had zero warmth vibe wise. The food was pretty good nonetheless. Best pad thai in town! Lao Ocean food is so fresh, vibrant and delicious. I have eaten here several times and they are consistently amazing! The golden bags are crispy and light, the poke bowls are full of color and flavor, and the chicken pad thai has a delightful kick! One of my favorite places to eat in Gulf Breeze. Side note: on top of their delicious food they have excellent customer service, clean tables and clean restrooms.

Looking for some local pho and found Lao Ocean. Fresh and delicious. We had the Mee Ka Tee coconut curry soup with noodles and pork stir fry. They have the standard fare of pad Thai, drunken noodles, pho etc. No MSG. The sushi bar looked fresh as well.
Prompt service, clean atmosphere, open on Sunday and Monday. Happy to find our new local favorite for healthy Asian cuisine.
