Every aspect of this meal Phenominal! My wife and I came in for her birthday. Ronnie made sure the food was amplified by amazingly good service. My burger may be one of the best burgers ive ever had in my life. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her birthday desert and her fish. Keep doing what youre doing. My only criticism is the fact that the waitstaff doesnt assist with clearing tables or prebussing of other waiters tables. Being a team is a great way to make more in tips. Otherwise the experience was amazing

Came here for our anniversary dinner. It was busy on a Sunday but the service was great. We started with a spinach dip which we both liked. I ordered the braised short rib and my wife had the Mediterranean bowl. Both were excellent. We split the warm butter cake that everyone raved about in the reviews. It was definitely worth it. It will be enough for 2 of you. Great experience , vibe, and prices were reasonable. Looking forward to another date night sometime in the future.

Village Tavern was easy to find and free parking is plentiful. We received a warm welcome for a 1pm reservation. The service here is impeccable.

I enjoyed the three amigos margarita, the Korean cauliflower and a Greek salad with salmon. The salmon was a perfect medium well, as I requested and it had the best balance of texture and flavor. The Greek salad paired well with the salmon which was so aromatic, herby and delicious.
I tasted the food network featured hot crab dip and that was really good.

The restaurant played nice R&B music that I enjoyed. Our waiter was pheasant and attentive. I do feel the pace can be slowed down a bit but I do understand the restaurant was super busy for a holiday Monday.

Food was ok. I’ve definitely experienced higher quality for the prices. I don’t paying higher prices for quality but this pla experienced did not hit the mark for us. I had a steak that was not cooked to order and I don’t send steaks back it’s the chef’s responsibility to serve properly cooked food. Especially in this environment. The waitress was wonderful very kind sweet young woman and the drinks were wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful. Would definitely order butter cake over the chocolate, chocolate was very dry . Unfortunately food did not hit the mark. Service and Atmosphere were on point!

The first time I’ve read “Maryland Style Crab Cakes” and the restaurant delivered! I’ve tried crab cakes before in Raleigh and none compare. The Korean Fried Cauliflower was very delicious, along with the rainbow trout, sautéed spinach, Mac n Cheese a fav so far. Make reservations for lunch or if you’re going for dinner.

So many things to love. The Thai Chicken salad. The poke bowl. Valet parking steps away for $5 that allows you to pay and tip online. The patio when it’s warm but that also encloses when it’s cold and has heaters. The cocktails. The North Hills vibe. The friendly staff. This is my new favorite spot.

Thanks to Andy for beautifully and artfully handling our large group today and the manager who graciously found us a table during a crowded lunch when our party unexpectedly expanded.

We came in from Richmond on 10/14/25 to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and stumbled upon Village Tavern.

The aesthetics outside with the warm lighting, sleek and comfy outside area and the cozy scene inside instantly captured us. The staff sat us rather quickly (less than 5 min) and our server (I believe her name was Leah) was so pleasant, very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us awesome recommendations!!

Only downside of the night is my husband and I couldn’t decide on a meal because everything she told us about seemed yummier than the one before .

We started with a glass of wine and a very tasteful hot crab dip appetizer and then both of us finally settled on the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots, and it was deeelishhh!! (tender, well seasoned, just enough sauce, great portion size)

Though my eyes were bigger than my stomach, we still ordered the butter cake with raspberry sauce, strawberries and blueberries. It was warm, yummy, and sooo sooo good! There was plenty for the two of us to share.

We hardly ever try a new restaurant without checking the reviews, but last night we scored big stopping by Village Tavern!! Thank you for a beautiful meal and warm atmosphere (and give our server a raise )!

In the area??? You’ve GOT to put Village Tavern on your dining list. They won’t disappoint!

Great date night resteraunt. Service was fast and friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was quiet enough for conversation. The radio was not blasting and the tables were not too close. Restrooms were nice and clean. Its a but pricey but well worth it.

I really enjoyed a late lunch here. Big thank you to Jessica for her amazing service. She was an absolute pleasure. The wait for food wasn’t long and the food was really good. When we had to wait a little longer for some items and Jessica checked in and let us know just a few more minutes. The Manager also stopped to check on my table a few times, I didn’t catch her name, but she was awesome as well. I really enjoyed everything I ordered. Specially the steak and brussel sprouts were delicious, I highly recommend those items. I will definitely return and would recommend everyone give this place a try.

Food was tasty. Husband got the brick chicken which he said was good but the size is the chicken pieces were a lot smaller than expected. I had spaghetti squash. However, the best part of the meal was the dessert. The warm butter cake was so yummy!
