Robata Wasa at the Irvine Spectrum is such a great experience. The interior is modern Japanese with calm ocean vibes. We went for lunch with the family and the kids really enjoyed it as well. We ordered the Yellowtail Jalapeño and the Ryoshi Plate, as well as the Hokkaido Roll and Gindara Saikyo Yaki. Not only are the plates delicious but they are plated so beautifully! We tried the Yuzu Flan for dessert and it had such a lovely and delicate flavor.
As for the service, it was so friendly and accommodating. We ate outside because it was such a lovely day! The experience is definitely one we will remember and we can’t wait to go back to try even more food! Be sure to make a reservation because it can get busy!

Robata Wasa is hands down one of the best sushi spots l’ve been to. Their sushi is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The standout for me was definitely the crispy lobster roll which was perfectly balanced with a crunch that makes every bite unforgettable. I also tried their matcha latte martini, and it was honestly to die for and it was such a unique pairing with sushi. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and the service is friendly and attentive. Definitely a go-to if you’re craving amazing sushi and creative drinks!

The rolls were fresh and flavorful, the Makunouchi Deluxe Bento and Beef Don were both unforgettable, and the Shiitake Mushroom Salad was such a unique touch. We come here often because it’s a dog friendly restaurant outside the patio. We love to take our fur baby here. Closer to home. And we can walk around after for digestion since it’s located in Irvine Spectrum like an outdoors mall with many restaurants, shops. They offer happy hour but drinks only and from Monday to Thurs.

We ended up here after leaving another restaurant with uncomfortably small tables for couples, only to find the same issue here. Honestly, we consumers should collectively boycott these cramped seating arrangements.
Fortunately, when I asked the host for a different table, they were accommodating, which I appreciated. The sushi was good, and the service was solid, but the prices were way too high for what you get. I wouldn’t come back unless it was an absolute last resort.

Solid restaurant option at the spectrum that generally seems to have availability which is nice when you want to just pop in. The food is decent, and the standout for me is the kids bento. It might be the best kids meal I’ve ever seen. Service is good. Outdoor seating has pretty nice vibes.

We were there last night with my son and his two toddlers. It was wonderful that they accommodated us because of the little ones.
The food was delicious . I had the Sushi Gozen Bento…so much food and very filling. My boyfriend had the Beef Son and he really enjoyed it. My son ordered the RW Sashimi Platter. We also ordered appetizers of Garlic Edamame, Vegetable Tempura and Goyza. EVERYTHING was delicious and presented beautifully.
It was our first time visiting the Irvine Spectrum and we so enjoyed the visit.
If you want sushi I’d recommend Robata Wasa !!!!

I was here earlier in the evening at the bar and it was stunning and drinks were amazing. Our bartender was Gabriella she made our experience so fun with her bubbly personality. Food was also top tier. Definitely will recommend this place to friends.

Great place to eat, specially after a long walk through the Irvine Spectrum. We came on a Saturday around 3 pm, we a party of 4.
The restaurant wasn’t too busy, I’m assuming because it’s located close to an end of the shopping center. Our wait time was 15 minutes, not bad at all.
Our waitress, Audrey, was awesome. She was very kind, friendly, helpful, and quick. Almost as soon as we sat down, she came over.
The atmosphere is nice, I felt pretty relaxed, I enjoyed my time eating and flavoring the food.
Food was great and accurate. Everything tasted nice and fresh, full of flavor, good quality of ingredients.
My only thing was the Iced Matcha Green Tea. It didn’t have milk. I am not sure if they forgot, or that’s just the way it is. It usually comes with milk, every time I’ve ordered, so who knows!
But this is still an excellent location. We enjoyed it!
