Very clean place no one there during the week day so we were attended to quickly. The drinks are delicious and the service is fantastic. I the fish was nice and crunchy. The rice tasted really good l, over all I would go back, the manager is really nice and explained to what’s on the menu even gave us coupons to come back. I say try it.

My girls’ lunches usually involve oysters, mariscos (or both if I’m lucky) and Las Playas Nayaritas always delivers both in the best way possible! We’ve tried a lot of mariscos spots around Chicagoland, and this one is hands down the best and most convenient for all of us. The seafood is always perfectly cooked, especially in that spicy broth I can’t get enough of. The staff is friendly, fun, and super attentive, and the house tequila? Honestly better than some of the high end stuff out there. The michelada is the icing on top… refreshing, flavorful, and just right. Pro tip: ask for Fernando’s hot sauce, then add a few dashes of it to the michelada to kick it up a notch. It’s a treat every time we visit!

First time at playas Nayaritas in melrose park. Good food. And good service. The owner came out and talked to us and gave us a sample of his ceviche en salsa negra, very good taste highly recommended. Calamari had good flavor and texture and the empanadas de camarón are very good too. They look a bit dark but I like them like that. El chapuzón was very good aswell.

They have the best ceviche de Camarones con salsa negra!!
The atmosphere is always upbeat and festive…
The servers are so patient and kind and boy do they hustle when it’s busy which is ALWAYS!!
ITS A MUST VISIT

Food is amazing, it always over exceeds my expectations. I have tried a couple their dishes from, pescado huachinango, seafood boil, ceviche tropical and many more. The drinks will fully satisfy your tastebuds, never fails. I highly recommend this location.

I’ve been here twice now. First time was three weeks ago and it was good! I enjoyed everything about it from food, service, and atmosphere. Just went last night and only thing that really was not favorable was the service and the atmosphere.
It was 3 meseras that honestly did not care one damn bit. Maybe one did the others did not and it was unfortunate. We didn’t get our salsa with the ceviche, the meseras were instead just eating at the bar. I also watched as a cook came out from the back for a beer then went back to the kitchen.
Saving grace would be the food. It really is great. I had pasta brava, empanadas de camaron, and my S/O had camarones a la diabla. All fire. Last time I was here I had the Torre de mariscos and it was amazing!
Also there is not atmosphere here. Like its fairly dead but its a clean restaurant and it has outdoor seating in a fairly okay neighborhood. Also the TV’s were all on infomercials when I went in so yeah.

Food was good. Margaritas tasted like water. Waitress forgot something on our order and didn’t even realize. What was worst was she did not come back a single time to check on us (she did however go to the table behind us about 5 times at least to check on them).
Will definitely not be going back.
She didn’t even bring the food or check herself she sent the bartender and only came to collect payment.

La comida no sabe absolutamente a nada. The fish tacos are trash. They’re battered in the picture with Cole slaw and a sauce. I got some bland grey fish on cold hard tortillas with no coleslaw or any sauce. Absolute trash. Didn’t even eat one after tasting a piece of fish.

Presentation is great! Food is delicious!
Good service.
Music was way too loud and the parking situation needs to be addressed.

Dining here 3/1 and the octopus dinner in Garlic sauce was delicious!! But a tad salty. The shrimp, octopus, oysters in a spicy sauce was delicious too- But Salty- The civiche which was a complimentary when u sit was good, their two sauces were HOT!! First time here good but cook need to lay off the salt. Will be back to try another dish!!! UPDATE: Came back again for Fathers day and ordered the shrimp fajitas, Pulpo in ajillo and tacos de asada and again good but salty….Changed my review from 4 to 2 stars. This seems to be an issue. I overheard a couple next to my table talking about how salty their food was. Good Place but please advise the cooks to lay off the salt. I rather add salt than eat salty food!.
