This place is a Compton staple and has the most delicious BBQ ribs I have ever tasted! Tender, juicy, smokey, and flavorful. This is what ribs should taste like! The quality is consistent and the service is always friendly. This place is a hidden gem and the prices are reasonable. I hope they stay in business always. This place is seriously underrated. No dine in is the only con. Just grab your food and go LOL

What can I say man. Tonight is my second time going here. I regret not posting a review the first time cuz the food was amazing. The brisket was tender and juicy. The ribs meaty, delicious. The links were awesome. The sides though were amazing!!! I have had the baked beans, Mac and cheese and yams and damn. They’re all amazing but I can’t decide what’s best the Mac and cheese or yams. Just awesome little spot. Great service. Thank you

I was craving ribs and I stopped by this place. Let me just say if your diabetic stay away from this place. I order a lunch special which was 4 pork ribs and two side baked beans and Mac n cheese for 16 dollars. The baked beans where to sweet and the ribs where super salty even though they were smothered where barbecue sauce. It took 30 minutes to get my meal and there was only two people in front of me. I will go back and try something else because I really want to get like this place.

This is the worst barbecue I’ve tasted in a long time. The meat was hard. The brisket had a lot of fat plus it was hard, barbecue tastes, bland, macaroni, and cheese was Nasty. The beans were straight out of a can I have another can they can put them in it’s called the trash Can where the rest of our food went. I will never be coming back here again and don’t suggest no one come here at all save yourself a trip go elsewhere!!!!!!!.

This review is actually a “0”. I drove from another city to try Johnson Brothers BBQ after a pastor publicly mentioned it at his mother’s funeral. I had a small sample at the repast and enjoyed it, so I was excited to try it a second time. Big mistake.
When I walked up to order, the guy at the window asked what I wanted. I explained that I had tried the food at a repast, and he immediately gave me a dismissive “whatever” look. There was no welcome and no professionalism. He then told me to “hold on,” shut the window in my face, and helped a woman on the other side.
When I ordered rib tips with mac and cheese and greens, he said, “Here’s the situation—the rib tips will take about 15 minutes.” I switched to ribs. He initially said “ok,” then changed his response and said the ribs would take about the same amount of time and asked if I wanted to wait for the rib tips instead. I said yes, paid, and waited.
Fifteen minutes later, my number was called. The same guy said, “Your order is ready.” I walked up to the window, where he and a woman around his age were standing as if everything was fine. Then he said—again—“Here’s the situation: we gave the mac and cheese to other customers while you were waiting. You can either wait another 15 minutes because it’s in the oven or choose another side.”
My mac and cheese had been given to someone who ordered after me, and he expected me to wait an additional 15 minutes as if that were acceptable. I looked him directly in the eye and said, “Give me back my money.” He casually replied, “Ok,” as if none of this mattered.
On a Friday night, I went out of my way to support this business, and it was a complete waste of time. The people you put at the window are the face of your business, and this guy was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from start to finish. His constant use of “here’s the situation” was annoying and insulting.
This experience left a negative impression, and this was my first and last visit to Johnson Brothers BBQ. I’ve already warned others not to waste their time.

Food is great, customer service could be better. Brisket is delicious, the sock it to me cake is moist, and the mac n cheese is good but salty.

Very friendly. Customer service is on point. I ordered a chicken dinner. The chicken was not cooked long enough. The meat still had visible bright red blood coming out. I ate the thigh until I saw the blood. I did not finish it. I used my fork to pull apart the meat from the leg and it was very pink. Not smoke red but pink. I threw the all the meat out. The Mac N Cheese was over seasoned & the greens was not my style. The sauce tasted like doctored bottle sauce from the grocery store. My first time eating here. It could have just been a bad day.

Delicious, delectable, melt in your mouth…all of the preceding accolades apply when describing the offerings of Johnson Brothers BBQ. Tender ribs, succulent beef, tasty sides…you name it, it’s all good here. And the hearty portions will usually lead to leftovers for the following day. Service is outstanding, from the friendly and polite staff. And don’t forget to try their artisan desserts. But get there early because they will sell out of the more popular dishes.

Been here 3 different times , the food is really good . It’s just something every time I go . First time they had no cornbread , 2nd time they had no brisket , 3 time they served my brisket Sandwhich with Sandwhich bread , bread was too soft caused everything to fall out . I paid 39 dollars for it and drove from IE

I placed a order at 6:12 pm. The delivery was supposed to come at 6:45. The called and said they were out of potatoe salad. I asked for another side of beans. Received my order at 7:20pm cold beans were very thick and rib bones were all side pieces. Disappointed because this had become a favorite neighborhood spot. I think it was too close to closing to order from her.
