It’s our go to for sushi in Cobourg Ontario area. The food is awesome and plenty of options. The service is good. The staff care about your experience. It’s a family business, so you know they care. Sakura is not the most modern restaurant. The food and service makes up for that. Clean and well maintained. Best part, the price is right.

Our GO-TO place when we want Japanese food! The quality of the food is just great, always fresh and delicious, and the presentation is always so satisfying! We spend so many birthdays and anniversaries here as well as celebrations of kids’ tournaments wins. Staffs are amazing and professional and they prepare kids utensils for the little one. The owner has amazing memories and can memorize the names of the customers! One of the waitresses is a very talented artist and she designed and drawn part of the menu. (She also did the artwork on my birthday treat box) Love this spot and the atmosphere!

We ordered takeout. I’m vegetarian so decided to try the vegetable bibimbap, which is described as “Korean style” vegetables.
I don’t know what “Korean style” meant, but all it seemed to be, was some steamed vegetables, mainly mushroom. The entire dish was super bland and soggy, and I ended up throwing it out, so had no food for dinner. Maybe this is what it’s supposed to taste like, but I thought it was pretty flavourless, and like I said it seemed like soggy food in a container. It came with a small container of spicy sauce but I it just made the food even soggier. Definitely not worth $17.95!
I see they have great reviews, so I’m sure it’s just my lack of understanding what “Korean style” is.

We enjoyed a delicious meal here. Their vegetable bibimbap with miso soup & salad was excellent. Also we enjoyed many sushi rolls.
Washrooms were clean, service amazing. I love staff who make you feel welcome (as opposed to interrupting them, lol). The staff here are very friendly. Nice open restaurant with some good space between tables. We will return soon. Reasonable prices too, not gouging folks.

Such a great vibe and warm welcome! The food is great almost every dish comes with a soup and a salad which are both fantastic. Everything is refresh and delicious. There is also a lot of variety at a great price!

I’ve been eating here for years now and never has it once disappointed. It’s Christmas, and I just ordered take out and they gave us the sweetest note and snacks!! Unbelievably amazing service and food I highly recommend!!!
