The Farmhouse Kitchen is a restaurant with more to offer than the usual brunch. With a passionate and collaborative team, an owner’s faithful mission and our dedicated local farmers, small businesses and an awakening community we turn this seemingly small café into an authentic and transparent farm-to-table experience.
The menu is scratch-made, farm-fresh, seasonally sourced, and creatively executed. All ingredients are as promised: non-GMO, as organic as they come, consciously-sourced, and whole until prepared. The juice – fresh-pressed. The coffee – renowned, ethically & locally sourced. The smoothies – eclectic and packed with superfoods.
Laid-back cafe serving a seasonally inspired menu of breakfast & lunch staples, plus coffee drinks.

This quiet little restaurant was just what was needed for a girls day with my daughter. The food was absolutely amazing. The wait wasn’t to long and we were able to order drinks and extra muffins while we waited. I will definitely be going back. Pictures below.

Came here this morning to try it out. The staff are lovely and the food was delicious! Farm to table is so much better for you and this place comes through. You can tell when eating the food how healthy it is. Keep in mind that the price reflects that. Definitely one of the better places on the avenue. If you’re looking for clean, healthy food that you can trust, this is the spot. Thankful I was able to experience this today. This place is quite small. Something to keep in mind if you have a bigger party or come at a busy time. There’s only a few tables and one bathroom. Overall, happy with my experience and would go back.

This place is truly a rare find — exactly what we’ve been searching for! Everything here is made with fresh, local, healthy ingredients, and you can actually taste the quality and care that goes into every dish. What makes it even more special is that they have a separate area dedicated for celiac, which is such a gift for those of us who can almost never eat out safely.
We live an hour away and it’s absolutely worth the drive. Until now, we’ve never found an actual health-focused restaurant that serves food this nutritious, delicious, and beautiful. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the service is warm and attentive.
A gem for anyone who values real food, wellness, and safe dining. We’re so grateful this place exists!

It feels like they’re trying to sell a certain vibe to make high prices seem more acceptable. Kind of like Portland hole-in-the-wall coffeeshop meets Penn Avenue, which is already known for its somewhat pretentious restaurants and shops that don’t offer much when it comes to the amount you’ve paid. I was underwhelmed with the size of the $15 breakfast burrito and the sad amount of greens that came with it — nine leaves in all. The burrito was missing the cheddar and salsa, so it was just the wrap, eggs, and avocado puree. My mom’s country breakfast plate was sparse as well. They advertise themselves as a health restaurant, and I guess they would justify the portion sizes as being healthy, but the price should then reflect that. Either adjust the prices, or offer double portions so we can at least make two meals out of it. Yes, I get it’s all non-GMO and sourced locally, supposedly. If they want us to enjoy the ingredients from this area then give us more than sampler plates. Apart from all this, nothing on the menu is especially creative or unique. I don’t see a reason to come back.

Excellent breakfast, portions are perfect. Everyone is so kind that works there. I don’t like to spend a lot for breakfast but when it is this fresh and delicious, I don’t mind at all as I feel it is worth every cent. Ambiance is cozy and comfortable with outstanding plain black coffee! Really enjoy this place and wish them much success.

WOW. If I were local, I would be here all the time. As someone who is passionate about eating well and enjoying their food, this place is gold. My first time I tried one of their specials, the just peachy salad and added chicken for protein. The next morning I had to try their baked oatmeal and I love that you can choose toppings with it. Absolutely delicious. I could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The coffee was spectacular and the staff was very sweet and welcoming. Will definitely be returning when I’m back in town.

This was a cozy comfortable space to meet a friend. Very welcoming vibe, staff was friendly but low key. The menu was simple, clean and vegan.
Order at the counter and pick a table. Food will be served to you, as it is made ready, fresh daily.
I had “what the owner is having ” A bowl ofScrambled egg “crepe” as I would describe it, on a bed of sautéed kale, red onion, diced red beet and most likely assorted spices.
Street parking makes an easy in and out for pickup. Food was ready quickly, so suitable for a lunch stop if you work.ine the area
There are several nice little street side tables for eating outdoors.
The drink menu was refreshing smoothies, coffee, teas and what seemed to be house blended fruit, berry and kombucha drinks.
Home made cookies, brownies, probably gluten free choices as well.
Definitely check out this healthy living, little eatery in West Reading,Pa. Im glad that I did.

This is the best breakfast in town that is cooked to serve with healthy clean ingredients. They even were able to accommodate my elimination diet foods. Also just wellness shots are amazing. Love to stop here for brunch with my friends.
