The waitress was super friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend!
The breakfast here was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. Plates arrive quickly, heaping with food that’s not only plentiful but surprisingly well-priced. Let’s talk about the bacon —perfectly crisp, smoky, and honestly divine. My honey went for the Spanish Omelette, and I’ve never seen someone rave about eggs with such enthusiasm. Every bite looked so good that we didn’t even pause for photos (a food blogger’s ultimate compliment).
We grabbed a cozy booth inside, where the atmosphere was lively but never rushed. Our server, Daniel, struck the perfect balance of laid-back beach vibes and attentive service. He knew the menu inside out, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made us feel right at home. If you visit, do yourself a favor and ask for Daniel—he’ll elevate your experience.
Bottom line: The Frog Pond delivers hearty, flavorful comfort food at lightning speed with a side of true beach-town hospitality. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a must-stop breakfast spot in St. Pete Beach.
The corned beef hash was crispy and flavorful as well as the potatoes.
We were mixed on their cinnamon roll French toast. I thought it was good, but my husband didn’t care for it.
He got a side of ham and grits which were both very tasty.
Service was very friendly and prompt.
We would go again.
The knowledgeable staff from servers to Gina the Manager are always smiling and welcoming to both regular customers and new folks visiting for the first time!!!
We will continue to make the drive from Sarasota just to explore the next culinary masterpiece that comes out of their kitchen doors.
Then they forgot our drink and when our food finally came, it was wrong and underwhelming. I ordered the eggs in a pan “over easy” with a side of bacon, but they came scrambled—and they forgot my side of bacon. The food itself was bland and tasteless, even after adding a lot of salt. I was taking my daugher out to celebrate making honor roll and her kids’ French toast was soggy and she barely touched it. It ended up not being the special treat I had hoped for sadly.
I really wanted to love this place after hearing so many great things, but the food and service just didn’t live up to the hype—especially at $15 for a tasteless plate of eggs and potatoes not even prepared as I ordered and missing part of the order. We ended up just paying and leaving most of our food there in the styrofoam boxes they served it in. I’m giving 2 stars, which is generous, only because I understand how hard the storms have been on local businesses, but I truly hope they can get back to the level everyone raves about.
