A fantastic night at Rani with a big group of us.
We were seated straight away, and looking considering there was another group of 10 in the same room it never felt cramped, loads of room between the tables.
Drinks came quickly once we ordered and then the food started.
The vegetable pakoras were excellent and then the amritsari curry was super tasty. While there is no chilli simple on the menu for it the chefs special spice has a little kick.
Staff were all super friendly and offered suggestions.

One of the better Indian restaurants in Newcastle. The tastes are authentic to the Punjabi flavour. We had Garlic Pulao and Dal Makhni. The smooth texture of the Dal Makhni added value to our food experience. They were open on Christmas Day, which came as a relief given that most others were closed

Went for dinner with my mom and had absolutely clam evening and most delicious food i have ever had in Newcastle.Had Early Evening menu of 3 course for only £19.95 and it was the best offer we were bit lucky cause it was only until 7:00 and we need rush a bit but it was worth it .I will be definitely visiting again

Prasha was really attentive and very lovely, with lots of giggles. Food was amazing, after a tease, I liked mine better than what the hubby ordered but he assured me he liked his better than mine. Catered for all tastes. Definitely coming back here.

Really enjoyed our evening. I took my Mom for dinner and we loved every dish, especially the veg Galouti kebabs- a must try. Also loved the Tandoori naan and butter naan, very soft and original. Tanu served us and we had a lovely chat with her. Overall great atmosphere, delicious food and enjoyed our time.. would definitely go again!!

24th Feb 2026. Had a lovely meal here tonight while on business in Newcastle. Lovely ambience in a relaxed setting. Nice varied selection of Indian cuisine. My server Bhawna kept checking that everything was okay with my meal and that I was okay for a drink.
I would recommend the butter chicken. If you enjoy a rich creamy dish.

Excellent service and food. Very accommodating staff as well. My boyfriend and I went there about 10:30pm and they were still serving food until 11pm!! I would recommend.
