Sushi Garden in Anchorage is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the inside feels cute, cozy, and welcoming, the kind of place you instantly want to settle into and enjoy a great meal.
The service is amazing: friendly, attentive, and impressively quick without ever feeling rushed. Every part of the experience felt thoughtful and well-paced. The meal starts off perfectly with soup, salad, and edamame, which is such a comforting and satisfying way to begin.
The food is truly show-stopping. The lunch bento boxes are huge, seriously generous portions, and you’ll definitely have leftovers to enjoy later. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
To top it all off, the meal ended with the most delicious cinnamon tea. It was warm, lightly sweet, and the perfect finishing touch to an already amazing meal. Sushi Garden is absolutely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again!

Atmosphere n food was great!! The waitress who waited on us has very poor customer service and not very mindful or respectful. We were a party of 3 with an infant . After placing our order the waitress mumbled wow that’s a lot of food. She knew we heard her and she looked away! Why would you even say such a thing you’re not paying! 2nd issue My daughter was on FT w her hubby and her daughter was looking at her dad waitress came back and told my daughter Oo u should have your daughter only watch church stuff nothing else and that she has 3 kids and that’s all they were exposed to and they are strong minded. Why you being so nosy We all looked confused! 3rd issue my daughter asked for a second Dr Pepper from the same waitress she told my daughter Oo no that’s to much sugar if you want a baby boy you don’t need it and walked away and never came back. My husband had to ask another waitress for the drink but guess who came back with the drink thinking it’s for my husband smiling “are you kidding right now”… at this point I said we’re leaving . Mind you now my irritation is on another level we came here to have a pleasant lunch not be lectured or schooled she had my daughter feel some type of way with her comment about her child should only watch church stuff….
So I go to ask for the bill she comes back tried to take my card at first I said I needed to see the bill and she proceeded to take my card a second time now I’m loud hold on I haven’t even seen the bill can you wait! And she walks away.. the waitress ruined our family lunch and our first experience at this restaurant!! Never again will we come back!!! Know your place and mind your business and just do your job . I hope the owner of sushi garden sees this review and really have a conversation with this waitress !!! If I could give it a negative negative I would!!!

By far the greatest Asian restaurant in town! Amazing food, tons of complimentary treats (warm towels, cinnamon tea!), and the nicest service. Sushi is , sesame chicken is a must, bento boxes are , and the green tea ice cream tempura? OMG! You’ll leave stuffed (with a togo box, too!).

Had a great experience at Sushi Garden. The service was friendly and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long for our meal. We ordered the sushi boat, and everything was beautifully presented. The fish was fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced. It’s always a plus when a sushi restaurant delivers both quality and speed. Overall, a solid spot for sushi, and I’d definitely come back!

A great interior decoration feels like you’re in a different place! Great food, a little bit expensive but they offer warm towels to wash your hands as well neat little water containers for the table! Great ambiance and great food would highly recommend if you love sushi!

Not sure why I never came to this restaurant until now but I’m VERY glad I did. If you’ve seen any of my other reviews you’ll know that I am a salmon nigiri snob and this one was amazing! I also ordered a pair of salmon belly nigiri and that was so delicious! I absolutely will be back soon for a date night. I don’t have a pic of the Mongolian Beef but I would also highly recommend it – one of the best in the city for sure!
Update: I went back and had the Mongolian Beef again and got a pic! Please come here and try it. Definitely the best Mongolian in Anchorage!

We love all the small details they give at Sushi Garden. A warm towel and Miso soup as soon as you are seated are so nice on a really cold day. The Sushi is the best in town!

What a treat , staff was friendly didn’t have to ask for water. Had a ton of options on sushi and the poke roll out of bounds delicious! I go to sushi places regularly and this was a definite find! I will come back for sure. The salad had a nice vinegar taste, the soup was on point as well as the tea they give you. Omg deliciousness !
