I don’t know how this place has less than 5 stars. We are foodies and enjoy exploring a wide range of high end and dive food. Nolo’s was incredible. We came at a lunch rush so we waited a bit for our food but once it hit the table. Every single bite I just kept saying WOW. We were so impressed. We got the Nolo Smashburger and the special which was a version of eggs Benedict with pork, green onion, barbecue and hollandaise sauce on a corn biscuit. Both of them were absolutely amazing. Every single bite was hot and full of flavor. We quickly regretted not ordering a biscuit with gravy to try because our meals were so beautifully crafted I am almost certain it would’ve been impeccable. Even our tots were cooked to perfection and the bean soup was DELICIOUS. We took home the hummingbird cake which was described as a homemade cake with pecan, pineapple, and banana with a cheesecake whipped topping and a slice of peanut butter pie. They both delivered the same quality flavor. Just wow. We really hope to journey back to Nolo’s because WHAT A TREASURE. It is ran by a husband and wife and their son which made it that much more precious. I wish I had better pictures but unfortunately it was an after thought. Incredible meal to end our weekend getaway. We ended up spending $125 on our dinner back home and continued to talk about how we would have paid that for what we had at Nolo’s 10xs over vs the mediocre dinner we ended up with. Thank you guys for a top to bottom wonderful experience. By far THEE most delicious and memorable meal I think we have ever had at a restaurant. So glad we tried it out! Keep doing what you’re doing!

A must go! Best brisket this side of the Mississippi! Best smash burger in Kentucky. Wings that bring a whole new meaning to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Excellent follow-up from staff. Awesome greens, pretzel bites, cornbread, and mac n cheese.

Found this place on google after researching restaurants in the area, we were there attending a basketball tournament and wanted something good, somewhere we’ve never ate. Came across this place with good reviews so we figured we’d try it out. Seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere, in a historic building. We walked in and the smell of smoked meats hit us instantly. They had a beautiful fire going in the fireplace, instantly felt cozy. We walked up to the counter and ordered. The menu is simple, but they’ve perfected it. They had crayons and coloring sheets for this kids. They had good music going. Bathrooms very clean. Our food was amazing. We got the nachos for our son, the smash burger and tots for our 5 year old. Wings for an appetizer that came with house made ranch which is, hands down, the best ranch my husband and I have ever had. My husband and I both ordered “both of em” which is both brisket and the pulled pork that comes with 2 sides. We both picked collard greens, he got broccoli salad and I got macaroni salad. The sides were absolutely phenomenal, collards were out of this world. Sadly they were out of the pork but kindly replaced the pork with smash burgers which were also amazing. For dessert we had the buttermilk pie and the blackberry jam cake, both of which were excellent. I don’t think anyone could go wrong with anything on the menu and I would certainly go back if I was in the area. Highly recommend if you enjoy barbecue and a casual down home feel.

Heard about this place on a hiking the RRG FB page and tried them out for brunch on the way home. SO GLAD WE WENT!!! The service was awesome…I think everyone that worked there asked us at least once how our food was and if we needed anything. Clearing our table throughout, great attention to detail. The food was fantastic! We got the Eggs Benedict Special which was called Honeymoon eggs Bene. The eggs were cooked perfectly, so key with EB! Loved the croissant, country ham, asparagus version. The cheese grits were so good. Prices were very reasonable. We can’t wait to go back…this will be a regular addition to our camping trips!

A slice of actual heaven on earth. You can taste the love and pride this family owned business puts into every single dish. Stellar food, friendly people, it feels like home. I’ve tried every dish on the menu at this point, and trying to choose a favorite would be like choosing a favorite child. I can’t do it. From brisket so flavorful and tender you can cut it with a spoon, to the world’s best cheeseburger, to soup beans that put my mamaws to shame, you can’t go wrong. The owners are the most lovely people you’ll ever meet. Don’t miss out on this spot. Its sure to become a Kentucky tradition people will drive hours to have.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The brisket and pulled pork were cooked to perfection. The coleslaw and broccoli salad were delicious and the collard greens were probably the best I’ve ever had. Oh, and the shrimp tacos (I was really hungry) were A-Mazing!! Service was excellent and everything was clean. This was my first visit but I will definitely be back.

Fantastic food! Good homemade cooking! Beautiful little spot for a delicious lunch or dinner. The tenders were juicy, the slaw was delicious, fried pickles were on point and the sweet potatoes pie (the seasonal special) was so rich and flavorful and can’t forget the scrumptious cornbread. The service was very friendly and we enjoyed every bit of our experience. Absolutely recommend if you want an meal packed with home coockin flavors!
