Authentic Mexican food is hard to come by on the Big Island. This place has a hole-in-the-wall vibe and not hotel resort fancy, but the food is amazing and speaks for itself. We ordered the nachos, quesadillas and soft tacos and cleaned our plates. Ask for the horchata too if you want a refreshing drink!

It’s a mixed experience for sure. The standard chips and salsa were a solid disappointment. The salsa had absolutely not body consisting of what could best be described at chili pepper water and Chipotle with a generous portion of stale chips.

My craving for a shrimp quesadilla was finally met! Nice lil taco shop in Kona with tasty guacamole and homemade salsa (3rd generation Mexicans from Michoacán & Jalisco)! The quesadilla was huge and i received it very quickly. You order at the counter and it seems like it can be a good option for take out place in town. It would’ve been nice to have the shrimp seasoned a little bit more and chopped up (instead of whole). All in all would return to potentially try other things

Excellent service, cleanliness and food. The young woman waiting on us was very courteous and attentive. The food was more than we had anticipated, one of the combo plates was enough for two, my 3 taco combo had enough fillings for 6 tacos.
We waited a short time for a very good meal, of course we kept it simple, 3combos and a couple of beers. Muchos Gracious.

Ordered the carnitas burrito and was not disappointed. It was massive and stuffed with meat. The carnitas tasted delicious, and was not kaluha pork style. The salsa was spicy. Will eat here again

Loved their flavors and salsas! The Chile rellenos was awesome as was their Mexican Rice! We also ordered the pollo enchiladas, some with red sauce and some with green- Both were good! I personally prefer enchiladas that have the meat and cheese- these come worth meat only. They serve Modelo dark beer which is really good and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back. Enchiladas came with a nice cheesy salad on top which was good!
