Casual tavern with some solid seafood fare. The lobster rolls were meaty and mussels were a nice starter to share. If you can get seated on the upper outdoor patio you can have a nice view of the bay

The restaurant offers beautiful views and stylish décor, but the food doesn’t live up to the setting.
We ordered the $45 cold plate—crab claws, lobster tail, chilled shrimp, oysters, and ceviche. The ceviche was excellent: well-balanced acidity and good texture. However, the lobster tail was overcooked and rubbery, the crab claws lacked flavor, and the shrimp, while seasoned, were underwhelming. Our server didn’t know what type of oysters were being served, which they should have.
The chowder was disappointing. The broth was overly sweet, the haddock was scarce, and the uniformly diced potatoes felt like a pre-packaged product.
The Halibut special was the highlight. Although slightly overcooked, it had nuanced flavors, and the fingerling potatoes complemented it well. The haddock entrée was unremarkable. My codfish cheeks were over-fried and overly salty.
For four people—with cocktails and tip—the bill came to over $400. At that price, expectations are higher.
As a chef, I understand the challenges of pleasing every guest, and I commend the team for their effort. That said, there are several issues that need to be addressed before we’d consider returning.

The service was great! We got our food in a timely manner and the atmosphere was ok. We ordered a seafood combo platter. The haddock, clams, and fries were very greasy. REALLY greasy. Too much to enjoy the food! Born and raised in maine. Not the best seafood.
update 12/17: Ive been there several times since the first review and its been amazing. Must have been an off night or bad cook…

The server we had was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. The muscles and burgers need more flavor for sure. Scallops wrapped in bacon were great though!

I usually go there on the weekends with my girlfriend. The food is always good. Do yourself a favor and try the potato skins. The wine list isn’t half bad as me and my better half tend to have a couple of glasses while we enjoy our food. As far as the bad reviews, I haven’t seen anything like that. I’ve been going here on and off for a couple years now.

Not a great restaurant. It took 2 1/2 hours for them to seat, feed and bill us. The waitress also screwed up my soup order (I didn’t send it back since it took over 20 minutes to get it) and screwed up my wife’s grandfathers soup. He told her that it wasn’t what he ordered and she actually argued with him about it. I thought the customer was always right? My fish tacos lacked flavor and my wife’s teriyaki steak tips tasted like they didn’t have any seasoning whatsoever on them. They also cost $13 and there were about 3 of them on a “sandwich” the size of a hamburger bun.

Out standing, we were visiting Portland From Charleston and had Lunch at the Dry Dock. Everything we had was perfect, The service was fast and very good, sitting on the deck the second time we ate there was even better. You can see lobster boat and enjoy the sun. They have an Bloody Mary that is exceptional.
