Don’t come! Don’t buy the gift card from Costco for this store!
We take the premium menu, however the beef tongue is run out of stock for the day and the waiter never tell us before it.
Wagyu beef is super disappointing, it’s thin with absolutely no texture and I doubt it contains any wagyu.
All the flavored meat are really sweet!
If you have already buy the gift card or already sitting in the restaurant then I recommend you to take non marinated meat like beef briskets, pork belly.
Also you are only allowed to order 4 meat each round, waitress seldom come to ask for more order

Gen Korean BBQ in Tukwila is a lively AYCE spot that works well for groups. The pork belly was very good and the Hawaiian steak stood out as well, both grilling up nicely. Appetizers are skippable and not the main draw here. Expect crowds and possible waits during peak times, but it’s solid value if you focus on the meats.

David is my favorite server here. This place is worth the wait if there is one. I do recommend look up what youd like before hand to make it as easy as possible. I truly do recommend the Hawaiian steak seriously delicious. The sides always come so u cant fight it. The atmosphere is nice, it can be loud so if you are overly stimulated easily come during opening. The staff is very polite, the food is good. I mean you get to cook it how you see fit so there’s no complains how it is cooked. The liquor is delicious, the punch bowl is well worth the $20. The adult Capri suns are great as well. Love my visits here.

I wish I read the reviews, but I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Food was not worth it. There were more than 10 people on staff but it felt like only two people were actually working the floor. Our poor server was taking orders from the whole resturant. He and Sheyden were the only people who tried to take care of our table but were spread thin.

We should have left when we first came in. The hostesses straight up ignored us. Anytime the hostess Lilly interacted with anyone she acted Ike they were less than dirt. And looked like she was actively avoiding doing her job and didn’t want to help her coworkers. It was very concerning.

I used to manage a serving staff and I can only imagine how stressed management must be.

In summery the food was not good. Though they had a large staff who looked like they were running around, only two people were actually working the floor. Everyone else could not be bothered to help anyone.

I’ve been here multiple times and this will be the last one since it seems like nothings gonna change – service is always slow, seemed understaffed, every time i go i wait 30+ minutes just to have the order taken.

This isn’t the first time this has happened which is why I’m writing a review, but again today we definitely had rotten seafood – the shrimp had black spots all over it and was clearly bad or super old, smelled extremely fishy. The sides are not great and everything else is really mid compared to what you pay for.

I never write negative reviews but I promise this place isn’t worth your time or money.

Very nice interior, the lighting and seating were great. The service however, was all over the place. Half of our order arrived immediately, the other half took about 30 min, when it did arrive, we were brought double our order and some other table’s food. The servers were nice enough.
The meat was incredibly over seasoned. The amount of sugar in almost everything made it feel like I binge ate ice cream for 3 hours straight. The two soups on the menu were soondubu and doenjang, which seemed like safe choices, so we ordered the soondubu. When it arrived it looked amazing, but tasted nothing like what it was supposed to. It was full of pico de gallo. I asked the server if the doenjang was traditional and was told that it also had pico in it. I’m not sure what theme they’re going with here, but if you’re expecting actual Korean BBQ, you will be disappointed.
In short, it’s okay, but I will not be going back

We wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and we really shouldn’t have. When we walked in, we were ignored for about 5 minutes as hosts went behind the counter and were prepping something and then Lilly asked us if we’d been helped yet and we said no and she just walked away. The next host asked if we had been talked to and we said kinda? and she said they’d have a table ready in 5 minutes. Lilly came back and just kind of stared then the other host asked if we scanned the QR code we said no and then as I was scanning, Lilly started to walk away so my friend couldn’t scan.

We sit down and no one talks to us as they bring the banchan and rice – which was so subpar. Our server came and asked us if we had KBBQ before, we said yes and he suggested the premium because of wagyu and other options. We got it and ordered tongue and then he said it was out… no worries we got other food. The food was also subpar. Only the special beef garlic and pineapple steak were good (but we really like sweet things).

Our waiter didn’t check on us much and at first we were upset then realized he was the only one in our section (at least 25 tables). Our grill clearly needed to be changed and multiple people walked past us and ignored us until Sheyden appeared. He changed our grill, actually smiled and at one point took some of our order. My friend and I were upset we didn’t have cash so we could have tipped him directly.

When we asked for the check, the waiter said the cashier would be there soon. And we waited 15 minutes. Multiple times we talked about walking out but morally it felt like we couldn’t. Finally Lilly showed up and said: “Two premiums and….uhm…” then she gestured to our soju and said: “the drink.” It looked like she was looking when my friend paid and picked the tip.

What a terrible experience, and made US feel like an inconvenience. If you see Lilly, leave. If you risk staying, hope Sheyden is there.

Options were limited especially for the price that they charge you for. And food is . We immediately regretted coming here the second time when the first time was not a very fun experience at all. We were just at the mall and wanted some Korean bbq and we forgot how bad our experience was the first time. Service was super slow. It was a weekend and lunch time, so I don’t get it why there was only one person in-charge serving more than 10 tables. The poor waiter didn’t even got a chance to change our grill plate because maybe he was so busy attending to other customers’ needs as well. And for an AYCE, I have never heard of a waiter asked me when I was ordering our 4th plate of meat, “are you still hungry?”. I was like – wth did I just hear?! I just looked at him because I was speechless. It felt like, he wanted us to be done eating when we only had 3 meats that we ordered and there’s two of us. It was a rude. I felt like we served ourselves, as no one bothered to turn the grill on or replace it (like how they do at other Korean bbq places without being told to do so). Lastly, when we are asking for the bill, we have to ask 3 people 4x and after 10 mins or so, we finally got our bill and finally left feeling very disappointed.

Our server today appeared to be very distracted. Every time the grill was being changed our food was getting splattered all over the grill top. My drink arrived 25 min after ordering. Another gentleman came to drop off the drink when it finally arrived and by that time we were ready for an extra ordering of 2 of the ban chan. I asked him if I could order with him or if it’s better to wait for our server. He responded with “wrong Asian.” And walked away. This was just probably the worst overall service, and experience here. Not worth the price. Especially for lunch hours. Shout out to the nice lady who appeared to be a manager or team lead or whatever — she was awesome.

We went here for a birthday and it was absolutely delicious. Every cut of meat was perfect and the flavors were amazing. It’s so satisfying to cook your own meats and the atmosphere was fun and laid back.
Only once did our server go missing but it really didn’t take away from our overall experience because she was friendly and attentive the majority of the time.
The price is worth it for the quality of food. My friend got a really good mixed drink, but I didn’t want to spend that much for the size. We’ll definitely go back again!
