A Saturday 1 pm. Ordered Rib Sandwich. It was cold and not warm or hot. Server said the Rib is placed on a grill and a bowl placed over the food to reheat. She wished I had told her before I ate. Not satisfied with food temperature. Obviously who wants cold BBQ?

Visited on a slow weekday afternoon. Service was good. Very quick. Small business (owners were only ones there when we visited). Food was delicious! I got the pulled pork sandwich which was large and very tasty. Wife got brisket which was one of the best we’ve had. The pit is outside and you can smell the smoke from outside, this is no electric “smoking”, but classic smoked meats with real smoke. Sides were good. Overall a little pricy but good portion size. Great location in downtown Rockmart. 5/5

We visited this spot for the first time tonight with our twins, and it was truly delicious. The owner is genuinely one of the kindest individuals I’ve ever met. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and sincerely hope he realizes just how amazing his food is. The nachos were fantastic! I tried the chicken nachos, while my husband enjoyed his BBQ and brisket. I hope Polk county supports our local restaurants and remember to thank the owner for his service since he is a veteran.

Ron is a military veteran and all around standup individual. Prepare your taste buds for an exciting adventure full of flavor! If you don’t get full off the delicious barbecue, leave room for laughter because he is also a comedian. I was cracking up my entire visit. I ordered the brisket sandwich and was very satisfied. If you’re in the Paulding, Bartow or Floyd county area come on by and enjoy!

This place has the best barbecue I’ve ever tried! The meat is great quality, the bbq sauce is perfect, and the bbq nachos are phenomenal! Also, the owner is nice and the food comes out quick. My friend and I have gone here on our lunch break, split the small bbq nachos (they have great portion sizes and good prices for the food you get, in my opinion), and had plenty of time to spare. I really can’t say enough good things about the nachos. I’m attaching a picture of the small (ordered with no peppers) so you can see how much of everything you get with them.

This place is consistently good. First time I got the brisket, fries and greens. Delicious. Second time I got the loaded fries. Unreal how loaded they were. This last time I got the chicken quarter plate and I had to force myself from over eating. I am not a dark meat chicken kind of girl, and I devoured these leg quarters! Got the Mac and greens on the side, perfect flavor. And the presentation? The food is just beautiful. Most other BBQ joints I have at least one complaint, because I am incredibly picky for someone who eats out lol. ‘Their brisket is dry’, ‘the wings are tiny’, ‘the sides are not a good flavor’ or ‘the tea is obviously old’. I have nothing but high remarks for this place.

We were passing through and stopped by when we saw the open sign & that they served ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and had flavors we had never tried. The owner let us try a sample before we made our decision on the flavor. The inside & outside of the building was so clean and decorated with lots of nostalgic items. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. We felt right at home. We will definitely be back again to try the bbq!

You cannot beat this! Best BBQ joint hands down!! The sweet tea is super sweet and that smoked ring on the brisket…man… I’m telling y’all have got to eat here! Look how affordable these hefty servings are! It has a single restroom but it’s kept clean with amenities always fully stocked. This place is hardly packed but it should be because it’s the most flavorful BBQ restaurant you’ll ever dine in!

My sister drove up from Florida and we both had limited time. She was staying with other family in Hiram and we live in Rome. Therefore, we chose this spot as a halfway point to meet and spend some time together. Absolutely fantastic! Wonderful little gem of a BBQ joint, located down a side street in Rockmart. A real added bonus that it is just down the road from a quaint little park, part of the Silver Comet Trail system, complete with gentle winding creek, with easy cement walking paths to an obvious favorite local swimming hole and nature preserve wildlife habitat area. We really enjoyed visiting this area as well after eating here. But back to this location – The food was excellent! The meat cooked and seasoned Exactly as you expect and deserve in a great bbq place! The fries were nice and the onion rings were precisely as I love them! Thick cut vidalia most likely, fried to absolute perfection! We tried the peach cobbler. It was quite tasty, but we would’ve preferred it served warm, under a thick dollop of their delicious vanilla ice cream. However, they probably would have been happy to oblige us, if we had but asked, as the staff were all very pleasant and personable! I love art and so I will always check out the art and decor of a place. So many interesting things on the walls inside and out here, but my absolute fav was the carousel horse hanging from the ceiling! They do have indoor seating, but the outdoor seating area is so very nice that we chose to sit there instead. Being that it was covered was a real plus on this quite warm 80s day! I would say the only drawback was the one unisex toilet. Please don’t get me wrong. I’m all for unisex facilities, it was just that it was busy that day and having 2 restrooms would definitely help. However, I do understand sometimes space is limited and you work with what you got. Other than that one tiny issue, everything was absolutely divine. We also met two dogs of fellow diners, while eating outside under the pavilion area! As we are dog sitters and adore all dogs, this was an added bonus for sure!
