TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Wow, I’m genuinely impressed. I always figure franchises offer subpar food and service experiences. In the case of Daves Hot Chicken (at least with this location), I am very much mistaken. The staff was super friendly and helpful with the menu, the atmosphere istelf was a vibe, and the food tasted fantastic. Im salivating just thinking back to my sandwhich, and writing this review. Im glad we have this place a chance! 10000% worth it. I got the #4 sandwhich Medium spice with fries. My wife got the #3 tender basket mild spice. Highly reccomend for a quick but delicious and fresh lunch, especially if you are feeling fried chicken.

This has to be up there with the highest rated chicken sandwiches. Warning about the heat. Medium is pretty hot. I did sign the waiver and tried the reaper. I couldn’t finish it and spent about 15 minutes washing my face in the bathroom trying to gather myself. Hottest thing on earth lol. They need to offer more fries for the price. Great place

Dave’s hot chicken is a simple restaurant with simple food options. To put it simply, it’s fantastic chicken. Whenever I visit this location I’m met with warm service and food that is incomparable to any other chicken I’ve tried. The behavior of the staff was extremely rude. They acted as if I was receiving everything free of cost. This branch is truly pathetic. This is the second time the staff has behaved rudely toward me. I have never had any problems at the Big Beaver Road, Troy branch. I recommend visiting the Troy branch instead of the Auburn Hills branch. I have just posted a picture of the person behaving inappropriately, order date, time and number. I hope someone takes notice of this issue.

First I’d like to say Ellenona made our experience very delightful. This was our first time at Dave’s Hot Chicken so my husband and I were very indecisive. She was very patient and accommodating and even made suggestions. We order 2 #3’s with sub Mac and cheese instead of fries on 1 order, and put my toppings on the side the way I requested. The food was great, we’ll definitely be back.

The cooks served up an excellent, hot, spicy dinner. Got Dave’s #2. 1 hot and 1 extra hot and they didn’t disappoint.The chicken was hot and juicy. Fries were hot and crispy. And the serving staff was unbelievably kind and welcoming. Special shout out to Maria for going above and beyond. She embodies excellent customer service. Experience could not have been better.
