At our Lilburn, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Terrible service by young girl. I wanted to order some more food but she just rushed me off because she was getting off work. The worst, nastiest bathroom and this is what you get for an order of popcorn shrimp. ‍♂️ not friendly at all. If I get a reply from management oh we are sorry for your experience, it’s just not going to help. Apparently they are not working to improve the experience, they are just apologizing and not actually doing anything about it.

I hadn’t been to Captain D’s in a very long time and since I was craving fish and it was within range at the time, I decided to stop by. The service was good as the staff was friendly, however the fish was not what I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but the size of them has narrowed. The length was the same , they were just skinner. I don’t know if this is the way that Captain D’s is offering the battered fish across the board, but it’s just not what I was used to getting.

I had a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. But the real stars of the show were the hushpuppies – perfectly golden and delicious! And if you’re a fan of crispy fries like me, you’re in for a treat. They were cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to go back!

I had a very disappointing experience at this Captain D’s location. I arrived around 9:00 PM (they close at 10:00 PM) to pick up an online order that I had already paid for. The employee working the drive-thru was extremely rude from the beginning. When I told her I had an online order, she responded rudely that she had no online orders and then said their system was not working, so she couldn’t see or take any orders through the drive-thru. When I calmly asked what I should do since I had already paid online, she replied in a very dismissive tone that she didn’t know and couldn’t do anything about it. Her behavior made it feel like I was bothering her, possibly because it was later in the evening, even though it was still well before closing time. While still sitting in the drive-thru, I called the restaurant directly. A male employee answered the phone, asked for my name, confirmed my order, and politely told me to wait about 5 minutes. His attitude was professional and respectful, which made the contrast even more noticeable. However, things got worse at the pickup window. When my food was ready, the same female employee opened the window, rudely handed me the bag, and shut the window hard in my face, as if I had done something wrong by picking up an order I had already paid for. To make matters worse, no sauces were included, even though they were clearly selected in my online order. There were also no napkins at all. I checked the bag at the window and realized nothing was included, but I did not want to deal with her again, so I left without them. This experience was unacceptable. Customers should not be treated with disrespect, especially when they have done nothing wrong. Situations like this do not help build customer loyalty. I strongly suggest better training on customer service, communication, and professionalism, especially during evening hours.

Had not eaten there in over a year. It was great. Fish filet was changed from tilapia to white fish. Was excellent. Still have specials for seniors on Sunday.

Food was fine, but the woman who assisted me was by far one of the greatest fast food employees I have ever met. Her name was Miranda and she was working there Friday night. Highly recommend that lady for a promotion. She is gonna make a great manager.

Ordered the family size catfish with okra, slaw, and green beans. That was the best cooked fish we have had there in years! The fish was crispy, moist, and not greasy. Besides the fish, the sides were very good. The okra was crispy, and the green beans were seasoned well!

Broccoli for $3.49 is simply outrageous it’s almost doubled what a side of 5 shrimp cost. The fish was hot but the fries were cold. The restaurant was extremely dirty. We met some roaches on the way out and told the staff.
