More disappointing every time. The pizza was doughy, tasted off, and then we noticed they were advertising a free cookie with an online order over $25. When we asked about it they refused to honor it. The guy running the cash register also has visible dirt caked all over his neck, which doesn’t inspire any confidence in the cleanliness of the overall restaurant.

Online order. I scheduled my order approx an hr out. So there was PLENTY of time to have my food fresh and ready to go.
Chicken was OLD and dried out, it must have been out for quite some time before they boxed it up for us. Im assuming it had been out on the buffet and they just boxed it up.

Really good Buffett. Not the normal Buffett you may be used to. This buffet has great mashed potatoes and fried chicken, vegetables, gravy, pizza, salad, and a dessert bar with ice cream. Friendly staff.

Tried multiple times to place an online order last night, but it failed each time so I called the restaurant to place my order just as the pop up message said to do. I was informed that they would not honor the online prices so my $144 order likely would’ve been well above $200. No thank you. My son chose this as his birthday supper with all of our family, but at that price I had to have him choose something else. Pizza Corner to the rescue! If the online ordering isn’t working, how is that the customers fault? How can the restaurant just not honor those prices? It makes zero sense to us.

I have never had a bad experience at the Valley City Pizza Ranch. They usually have a good pizza selection out, with lots of new flavors. (Tried the pretzel crust pizza today. It was good, but a little too salty.) The staff is really good about clearing plates when you’re done before you get your next plate. Their salads are always good, and fresh. Once I had cucumbers that weren’t so fresh, but thats about it. The chicken is always on point. Wish I could have taken more pics, but they were really busy and didnt want to post other visitors. (Took one star away for the rare not so fresh salad ingredients)

Overall not bad but could’ve been better. Restaurant was clean and presentable but food wasn’t being kept up on or the most fresh, and staff weren’t really seeming to acknowledge the dwindling food on the buffet during lunch. The food itself was good for the little bit of fresher pieces I was able to get though. Smaller town though which may be why it didn’t meet my normal expectations of the ones I’ve been to in larger towns back in my home state.

When we got there, there was no chicken or potatoes and both ranch bottles were empty. Sat there for a half hour for them to bring out one little bowl of chicken which wasn’t nearly enough since the restaurant was full because a school bus of kids had come in on top of all the regular customers.
