Loved it here, chef was kind and funny and made the experience fun for my young kids, we have four under the age of six and it’s always nerve racking taking them to new restaurants, but the atmosphere is kid friendly and the food is great, even my picky eaters ate it! Would come here again if we are in Maine!

First the positive, the staff is friendly, the wait time was 0 minutes, plenty of parking, reasonably priced menu and the crab rangoons are house made. However, both times I have been, I have had an issue with the hygiene. The first time, it was some food stuck on the fork, in my wrapped silverware. No problem, mistakes happen, easily replaced, not a deal breaker. The second time I went, the appetizer came out with a piece of hair stuck to it. To some, it’s not a deal breaker, put that 1 piece to the side and eat the rest. It was sent back, but not removed from the bill. They would have remade it, but I declined the offer. We paid with no complaints. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
As per the owner’s last response. You’re correct the appetizer was comped 100% I must have been mistaken. However, I can add images. The Ellsworth Roll has a lovely presentation, with a savory melody of flavors. I will refrain from a close up.

Definitely recommend this restaurant! The sumo lovers drink is the best mixed drink I’ve ever had, and the food is so yummy. My boyfriend and I love coming here for date nights.

My family’s favorite place to go whenever we’re in the area! Staff is super nice, chefs are hilarious, and the food is amazing! Definitely come hungry because the portions are huge. We have come the last 3 years for all of our birthdays and it has become a nice tradition

Was super empty when we went at about 1pm. Overall the food came out fast and was delicious. Hibachi portions of meat left a bit to be desired but you get rice and noodles as well as soup and salad.

First time at Hibachi…Definitely a fan. Food was absolutely delicious and lots of it. Juston the chef was wonderful and put on a great show. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Great portions.. even came home with leftovers I can’t wait to go back!!

Stopped in around noon for the first time. We are so glad we did! Not only was the food great, the prices were very reasonable and the staff was friendly. Juston, who cooked for us, was entertaining and kept us laughing the entire time. We found out later that he is one of the owners! If you’re thinking about stopping in, stop thinking and enjoy!

Stopped on a whim and it was GREAT!! I’m gluten free and was able to have the hibachi dinner! No soup but salad could have ranch and had all rice instead of noodles! The filet & chicken was hot-tender-fresh and so flavorful!!! Server was super busy but nice & friendly:). It was so good we opted to stop again the following night! We had the filet & salmon which was equally good!!! Huge portions. Two of us shared the meal. We also ordered crab Rangoon both nights which my partner said was amazing!! Thanks crazy Sumo!!
