Food was not great , barely good . The waitress is really who made the visit pleasant. The “Pink lady “ roll is 80% rice . This katsu rice bowl was horrific , I didn’t even get through a quarter . Egg was uncooked , cutlet soggy and falling apart . The teriyaki chicken for kids is boneless wings in sauce , and fried rice was flavorless . This was my first time here and I’m actually really disappointed. I picked stopping here over my first choice of Viet Restaurant , now I know better .
Here’s a picture of the breading literally separating from the cutlet on its own

I’ve always loved this place, and wanted to elaborate on it. They start you off with a miso soup that is very delicious. The following rolls were delicious and fresh: Crunchy Roll, Dragon Roll, and the Metropolitan Roll. We had the shrimp and vegetable tempura, and it was fresh and crispy. The squid salad was fresh and delicious, too. The staff was attentive and friendly. They open at 4PM, and I believe they’re closed on Mondays. Parking is no problem. Also, the fried rice is SOO good.

Everything about this place was absolutely perfect… the chicken sandwich is ELEGANT
The sushi is fantastic..
Favorite sushi spot OF ALL TIME.
1 suggestion is more design on the glass outside it would really have the building pop more make it shiny.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The rice was fragrant and warm on the rolls. The tempura tasted beautifully seasoned and the seaweed salad was plentiful for a single order. The salmon was buttery and the tuna a nice bright color for the sashimi.
The miso soup was on point and did not taste burnt or old. The service was quick, attentive and informative. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Hole in the wall that was a surprise to find a clean and delicious experience. Every roll was excellent. The El Paso roll is very unique and warm. Squid salad was a lovely way to start. Quality on their sushi is what I can say.

I’m giving it a 3.0 just because I’ve had high hopes since moving to El Paso on finding good sushi. This place has excellent reviews, so I finally tried it, and it’s pretty and a quiet environment inside, but the sushi is just average. I was so disappointed. Also, there was a dad in there who had a portable electric razor cutting his kids’ hair while the family ate, then they left. That kinda caught me off guard. Weird right.

RIP to the Sumo Sushi we once knew. It looks like thev’ve changed owners and EVERYTHING tastes different. The miso soup is not the same literally just hot water with pieces of tofu and onions, no flavor whatsoever. Defiantlv not the miso soup I’m used to having. The fried rice and cruncy roll have no taste, everything is bland. My husband ordered his usual teriyaki chicken with mushrooms bento box and the chicken is different. So disappointing because my family and I have been coming here for over 19 years. And now we must find a new Japanese restaurant.

The restaurant is spacious with booth, table, and bar seating, depending on what you’re looking for. They have an appetizer menu, drink menu, sashimi, noodles, and sushi menu. A wide variety that is vegetarian friendly. After I placed my order, the food was ready within 10-15 minutes and was delicious. I would recommend taking friends and family to this location.

Food quality has dropped significantly recently. Rolls have lots of low quality rice and very little fish. This place previously had a 5 star review from me but food quality is way down. Not good sushi

Imma be honest with you the food is amazing, service is great especially when you have multiple servers/waitresses attending to your needs. I do have to be honest it’s pricey but if it’s once and awhile or maybe even only on special occasions it’s definitely worth it tons of roll options from fried to fresh uncooked tuna!
