Im amending my review, since this place was sold, it has immediately gone down hill! Already the quality and presentation has been lost. The salmon sashimi still had the Grey bloodline on it and the other sashimi had “bones” in it! Totally unacceptable!I could not be more disappointed. This was once one of my favorite new spots and now… never going again. An utter travesty.

One of the few places that is 100% worth the drive no matter where you live in Florida. We drove two and a half hours to try this new sushi restaurant after seeing photos, and it exceeded our already high expectations! The food was almost as good as the real stuff in Tokyo (which is very hard to replicate). The sushi was prepared beautifully, the garlic sauce on the edamame was savory and flavorful, and the pumpkin tempura (one of my personal favorites) was crispy and light. The bluefin tuna akami might have been the best I have yet to try in the state. The menu is huge with pretty much any fish you can think of. Definitely a contender for one of the best Japanese restaurants in Florida!

I recently visited Kokoro Sushi. From the reviews, I realized afterwards that they had opened not long ago. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the miso soup – only $3, a very fair price. The waitress was very friendly, and both the sushi and the dessert were delicious.
We tried the tempura cheesecake, which was unique and very tasty. The total for two was about $80, not including tips. Definitely a nice spot to visit!

Beautiful new restaurant, cozy and very traditionally decorated, owned by Bruce who also owns Masamune in Deerfield Beach. Therefore loving both locations as both offer delicious quality tasty sushi, attentive service and sake too!

We had an unexpectedly great experience at this relatively new sushi restaurant in our neighborhood. After so many disappointing sushi experiences in SoFlo, I had honestly given up and was very reluctant to try yet another place. But we decided to give it a shot—and we’re so glad we did.
Our waitress, Sophia, was incredibly welcoming, social, and pleasant. We truly enjoyed chatting with her, and she made the experience even better. The bluefin tuna was excellent, and the menu felt just like what you’d find at a Japanese-owned restaurant, with a nice selection of authentic Japanese dishes.
Definitely worth trying—we’ll be back.

I’m scared writing this review because this place is too good, and I’m scared that it’ll get too busy that I’ll not get a table . The prices on the menu will astonish you, especially factoring in the high quality and generous portions. The ambiance is cute, quaint, and family friendly. The service is consistent, attentive, and warm. I was in the area celebrating a personal momentous occasion. But for perspective, I am from Miami and I’d make the drive again just to come here. Visit this restaurant before it gets popular, because I foresee it blowing up, and it would be well deserved.

Finally, I found a truly authentic Japanese restaurant with real Japanese flavor! If you love Japanese cuisine, this is definitely the place to come. Kokoro Sushi opened just recently (in May), and honestly, it’s already one of the best in Boca Raton. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Highly recommended!

This is truly some of the best sushi you can find in South Florida. Excellent ingredients, superb preparation, but no unnecessary frills. It’s delicious, high quality, and super approachable.

Chef/owner Bruce sources top tier fish, often flying ingredients in directly from Japan. You can tell there’s a ton of care put into everything. It’s honestly my favorite sushi I’ve had in the US.

The nigiri here is excellent, but everything on the menu is delicious. There are Japanese classics like oyako don, yakisoba, onigiri, tempura, soba, and ramen. The sushi selection is incredibly expansive, with familiar rolls and unique creations. They also have sushi plates and chirashi.

Drink menu includes a wide sake selection plus beers.

Service is incredibly friendly and the restaurant is really nicely designed. It’s got sushi bar seating plus standard tables and booths.

Really excited about this new spot!

first time there, just in area visiting family, went for lunch solo. incredible agedashi tofu (chiffonade nori, minced dikon, in house made tempura sauce). So good very hard to find this level of legit! Spring salad is gorgeous too- large with beautiful greens, raddichio, radish, dikon, tomato and a beautiful vinaigrette (also made in-house)
for $6, what a gem!
Also had gorgeous handroll, delicious. Wish i lived here, this would be my go-to for Nippon cuisine!
Menu is
lovely selection of sushi/nigiri and
classic cooked items (yakisoba, udon, curry, katsu, ramen etc).
Would love to try everything on menu,
inc the extensive, thoughtful sake curation.

New sushi spot in Del Ray is a winner. Great selection and daily special. I had the Miso soup, delicious and not too salty. Japanese Uni, fresh bright with mild brine and subtle sweetness. Hamachi Kama, served with lemon and ponzu, this was my favorite and Sea bream carpaccio special that was a delight. Our server was super friendly and smiled a lot which made for great experience. As a native Floridian and someone who worked seafood F&B in NYC for a decade… I approve! Casual dining, fresh sushi, nice staff!
