Didn’t get what we ordered. The spring rolls that came with the sampler platter were absurdly gigantic. They didn’t give us peanut sauce. And only one egg roll on the platter. Whatever food they did give us in lieu of what we ordered wasn’t even very good. Very blah. The worst part is, it was really slow there.

I’m very disappointed with how much the pho quality has gone down. This is the second time I’ve ordered takeout and the noodles came out like hard balls of rice. I even tried boiling them at home, and they just turned into mush — almost like rice soup. I used to come here all the time because the pho was amazing, but something has really changed. The quality is nothing like before, and for the price, it definitely shouldn’t taste like canned chicken noodle soup.

Honestly, this place lost a loyal customer.

I am a week late with writing this review but it needed to get done nevertheless. I will not go here again. I was looking for a vegetarian/vegan restaurant that sold Pho. They have 3-4 options. I got the tofu pho option with two veggies rolls and two shrimp rolls. Not only did I find plastic inside my roll when I returned 30 minutes later, instead of getting a refund like I should have I asked for the fried shrimp rolls instead. The lady came back almost immediately with fried rolls and I confirmed I’d they were shrimp which should have been a red flag. Those fried rolls were so disgusting than I have no idea what was inside. Looks like smashed fish meat of some sort. So this just tells me, 1. They do not properly clean their food if they are cutting lettuce in the plastic which in my photos it shows clear knife marks as that’s the case and 2. They don’t listen to customers. I just wanted a veggie roll with shrimp fried and a Pho bowl with tofu. smh Instead I received contaminated food and I a fried wrap with who knows what’s inside. Than the bean sprouts looked like they still had dirt on them smh I could cry because I was hungry and ended up cooking like I should have in the beginning. Waste of $27.

Good Vietnamese food. Clean restaurant. The staff is not as fast as we would have liked after we were seated but once they did take our order we got our food in less than 5 minutes. I would eat here again.

First and last time here. The spring rolls had soooo much lettuce which was brown and old. Very little protein. Pho was good but for the combination pho it had also very little protein for $16.99. I asked for napkins and they said they ran out which was very inconvenient. Ok the sauces were caked into the bottles and menu was sticky and gross. Not clean at all. Food took forever and just overall not a pleasant experience.

Very expensive for what was ordered. 35$ for Dumpling Pho and cashew chicken. Was asked if I wanted it spicy or mild. I asked for spicy/hot and it had neither. Absolutely no flavor or hot peppers. Lid wasn’t secure on the pho broth or in it’s own bag. Went all over the car.

Ordered Delivery. Cold meat. Warm “salad”. House dressing might be diluted mayo, had the consistency of a glass of milk. Second and last try for this place.

The food was pretty good! We got the rare steak/flank and rare steak/tendon pho, potstickers, and vegetable rolls.

The dipping sauce for the vegetable rolls was pretty bland, but i thought the rolls were really good!

I wish our pho came with more herbs like a bunch of parsley or thai basil. The overall broth was nice and flavorful, but was missing some green aromatics! Also, the tendons didn’t taste as good as what I’m used to! It’s all very preferential though!

The service was great though!

Surprise Pho is just down the street from me. I have been wanting to try this place for awhile and I’m wondering , why I have not done it sooner! A hidden gem! Looks like it family run and I do believe they speak Vietnamese too. I ordered the Shrimp Pho (soup), Spring rolls and Thai iced tea. The Shrimp Pho soup was fantastic all natural ingredients as if they were picked from a garden hidden outside, a bit spicy but not too spicy. It was served with a side tray of bean sprouts, sliced jalapenos and a few lime wedges. I’ve hear that Vietnamese cuisine is a bit spicy but I threw in a slice of jalapeno anyways, some sprouts and a squeeze of lime. Wow! Yummy-ville! If I had a grandma from the orient I’m sure she’d be serving me this. Very filling and light in taste you can enjoy each ingredient by itself. Perfectly balanced. The spring rolls were huge! They might as well been mini burritos. They were transparent and again very fresh! Soft and also filling. You can actually taste the simple nature that gives us this wonderful food. Especially when you dip them in the peanut sauce. Damn! Enjoying new tastes is always exciting. I’m sure my taste buds are loving what I give em. If your a tea lover and are in search of a new tea, I suggest trying the Thai tea. It has a flavor all on its own. Delicious when served cold, perfect for the warm city of Phoenix. I love enjoying this tea. I’ve had it many times before at a Thai restraunt years before. Loved it the first time I tasted it. I am heading back to this place again. They have a nice menu and I can’t wait to try them. It’s a bit different that Chinese food in a simple way to put it, the fresh, natural taste to each ingredient is wonderful all by themselves. But when they are all combined, elegant and a wonderful memory. Each time I taste beautiful food like this I’m reminded to try new flavors. I suggest you try this place with something familiar at first. Read the ingredients and imagine what they taste combined. I do this when trying new dishes restraints and then order..Though there is always the nice surprise of just asking what the waiter or waitresses favorite dish is. A lovely gem in Surprise, especially for the holidays. Definitely unexpected, but quite enjoyable! You won’t be disappointed. 🙂

How is it possible that this place has 4.3 stars? The staff looks miserable like they don’t even want to be here, these 2 girls were so slow and clueless. They took forever to take our order and took them forever to give us our pho. Not coming back save yourself the trouble.
