I had a very frustrating experience at the Doylestown Starbucks Saturday. There was a large event taking place outside, and the store was clearly unprepared to handle the increased volume of customers. The space was overcrowded—far beyond what appeared to be safe or compliant with fire code—and I even observed pets being allowed inside, which is unacceptable in a food and beverage setting.

The store itself was disorganized and unsanitary, with trash bins overflowing and no visible management presence. It seemed to be run entirely by a group of unsupervised young employees, which contributed to the overall chaos. Despite placing our orders ahead of time through the Starbucks app, it still took more than 45 minutes to receive our drinks. This level of delay and poor service is not what I expect from Starbucks.

It is disappointing that such a large company could not anticipate higher traffic during a public event and schedule proper staff coverage, or even pull in additional support from another nearby location. Customers should not have to wait nearly an hour for a mobile order while also enduring a messy and poorly managed store environment.

Overall, this reflects very poor management and an unacceptable standard of service. I hope Starbucks takes immediate steps to correct these issues, as this experience was far below expectations.

Friendly people. Good spot to get off the road, work on laptop and enjoy starbucks. Historic building and you can park on the street (side of building) or right up front in the cobblestone parking lot.
Go see Jack. Nice guy

Stopped in this morning at 7:30am and the two baristas were awesome. Fast and friendly service. My iced Dubai chocate mocha was made perfect. Always a pleasure to stop in this unique starbucks in the middle of Doyelstown.

I had the pleasure of being served by Lily at Starbucks, and I have to say, the drink was nothing short of spectacular. Not only did she perfectly balance the flavors of my cold brew, but the presentation was on point as well. This location crafts every beverage with precision, and you can tell there’s a real passion behind their work. Whether it’s a classic latte or a more complex seasonal creation, each cup is a work of art. Friendly, efficient, and consistently excellent, Lily sets the bar for what customer service should be. Highly recommend this Doylestown location that represents the town center.

5 stars for this location! It’s extremely busy at all times and was especially busy over the lunch rush today. I had to leave before my order was ready due to an appointment and when I came back they were extremely apologetic for the order taking as long as it did and provided a fresh drink for me plus a gift card for my next visit as it was “on them.” The staff is incredibly thoughtful!

I placed my order on the app prior to my arrival as I was on my way to work and needed a quick turnaround. The app said my order would be ready by 6:12 pm. I walked in at 6:13 pm and went to the mobile pick-up counter. 1 of my 2 drinks was waiting and my cheese Danish also was not ready. There were no other customers in the store and 4 employees were behind the counter just hanging out joking around. At first, I thought no big deal it’ll be ready in a couple min. 2 of the employees walked into the back and said hi acknowledging me on their way. The other 2 at the counter continued to ignore me and chat literally 3 feet away on the opposite side of the counter from me. A few min later another customer walks in and they stop their conversation and take her order. This is this point I realize I’m just being ignored and they’re not making the rest of my order. So, I ask one of them if my order was almost ready. The girl says, “oh you’re waiting for something.” Did she think I was just standing there staring at her for 10 or so min for my own entertainment? I explained yes, I was waiting for a 2nd coffee and my pastry. She looked around and found the 2nd cup with my label sitting an arm’s length away from her. She said it be right up, and at this point the 2 from the back come back to the counter. They start cleaning and pull the refrigerator out to clean behind it blocking the station the employee needs to make my drink. So instead of telling them to wait she steps aside forcing me to continue to wait. Finally, she finishes my drink when the cleaning is done a few min later. She gave me the 2nd drink and said, “have a nice day.” I again asked about my Danish. She said “oh the cashier is taking care of it, it will be a few min.” Again, I wait. 2-3 min later I ask the cashier how much longer it will be, and she looked confused asking what I was waiting for. Now I just want my money back and need to leave to get to work. When I ask for a refund, they tell me they can’t help me since it was a mobile order, and I must cancel on my phone. When I look the app will not let me cancel since now almost 30 min later my order is complete. (In this time multiple other customers have come and gone with their purchases.) So, my only option now is to take my drinks and Danish. The first ice coffee has now been sitting for almost 30 min mind you. Sensing my agitation one of the employees offered me “A FREE CUP OF WATER” for my troubles. Is that a joke? Will Starbucks be charging for the air breathed in their establishments? I declined this generous offer and left with the 2 worst $6 drinks I’ve ever consumed adding insult to injury. I am a night shift nurse, and frequently spend $20-$30 prior to my shift at this location for my coworkers and I to make it through our shift. After this joke of an experience, I have no desire to return. I guess I will have to slum it with the Dunkin drinkers, at least there I’m not overpaying for the awful service and drinks. Plus, I think the water is always free at DD!

This is an historic cool fun unique Starbucks!

If you’re visiting from out of town, this is a good place to get a drink, free cup of water and use the restroom.

It’s in a great old building with seats inside, and seats outside on a huge porch overlooking the old cobblestone parking lot.

The historic building is the best part of this unusual Starbucks.

Locals and their dogs hanging out on the porch, and students, WiFi warriors, and vagabonds and hobos sleeping inside.

Service was good; and free open restrooms. My pet peeve… no paper towels, only air dryers.

A few months ago i had posted the review below. Since then ,management has taken steps to reduce the numbers of noisy teenagers. The service here has always been top-notch, and continues to be.
PREVIOUS REVIEW:
Hoards of teenagers frequent this starbucks. They are noisy and ill-behaved as all unsupervised teenagers are. Their behavior make sitting on the porch impossible. Management is indifferent to their presence.

Just BEWARE if you come here anytime after school hours this Starbucks literally looks like after school care for all the pre-teens of Doylestown. Even with noise canceling headphones it was very difficult to focus on my studying because they were all running around, goofing off, being loud and constant walking in and out. To their credit the manager did try their best to corral the kids and at the very least make sure they had purchased something in order to there. I truly felt like I was in a middle school cafeteria. Definitely will not be returning to attempt any focused work in the weekday afternoon hours.

The worst Starbucks ever. Made one cappuccino out of two ordered. Had to wait to make another one after other orders. Didn’t apologize. Rude. Size did not match! Coffee instead of a large size 16 oz one sip. Horrible!
