I love the vibe this place gives! The music is on point and listening to the employees singing along makes you want to sing too!
The food was good but not excellent. I ordered the chorizo and eggs and my husband ordered the chori steak. The chorizo was delicious, I asked for it to be well done, the rice was moist and flavorful but the beans fell a bit short. My husband loved the chori steak, it has a white cheese sauce with chorizo that covers the steak. I was given flour tortillas with my meal and the one thing I wish they would’ve done was, cook them on the blancha or stovetop, I could tell they were warmed up in the microwave. The salsa that comes with the chips has no spice to it, so if you’re looking for something spicier, you’ll have to ask for their house salsa.
The service was good, they were attentive and provided good customer service.
Overall, this place has good food with a great environment. I’d definitely come again.

Agave Azul Mexican Cocina has recently opened in the former Pino’s Pizza location in Boydton, Virginia. First time visiting this evening for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented everything was. The atmosphere was inviting with vibrant decor and a clean, comfortable dining area that gave off a cheerful, authentic vibe.
We ordered the Arroz Con Mariscos and the Taquitos Mexicanos—both were absolutely delicious! The seafood in the Arroz Con Mariscos was perfectly cooked and generously portioned, served over a bed of seasoned rice with a rich, savory cheese sauce. The Taquitos Mexicanos were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with fresh guacamole and sour cream.
It’s such a nice addition to the Boydton area—right here near Buggs Island Lake—perfect for locals and visitors alike looking for a great meal after a day on the water or exploring the area.

We go camping on the lake a couple times a year. There isn’t much in the way of restaurants in the immidiate area. This building used to be a pizza joint that in our opinion wasn’t very good. I’m so glad we stopped in for lunch on this trip. They have an extensive lunch menu. The atmosphere was very similar to a very popular Mexican restaurant back home. The food was fantastic and the staff were very attentive and polite. If you love in the boydton area or are camping nearby, you really ought to try it. We will definitely make it a priority to stop in when we are visiting the area.

We were staying at North Bend Campground and found this gem of a restaurant! The food was great and so were the margaritas. We will be back next time we are camping here! It was packed on a Thursday and the service was great!

Steak tacos was good , the drinks seemed weak more filled up with sugar , mojito tasted like a sparkling drink with mint non stop being stuck up in my straw , my boyfriend had something fried but it seemed to be more soggy and not crispy , queso was not warm and served in Plastic dish, being the closet restaurant to camp I was expecting more but I rather travel 30-45 for something else , my shrimp dish with scallops was okay
