They have a great variety of BBQ meats, and the sauces were really good and went perfectly with everything. The steamed egg was amazing — super soft and flavorful, definitely our favorite dish. The atmosphere was nice and overall we were very satisfied.
Our server Roy was super warm and attentive, he came by often to change the grill for us and checked in to see if we needed anything. You could really tell he cared about the service. Overall a great experience and we’d definitely come back.

It was our first time trying out this restaurant and it left a good impression with the excellent food and services. Everything was good from A to Z, nothing to complain here. A de facto motto what a good restaurant should be. We ordered the Silver set, plus fresh raw oysters on the side. For drinks we ordered Mango Mojito and Long Island Iced Tea. All the pictures attached were what was brought out. It was so plentiful and very good. We BBQ all of it and take home what was left. For desserts we ordered green tea ice cream and strawberry ice cream with green tea cake to round it off. We also ordered fruit juice “to go” from next door (Ichiddo). The desserts were good, the drinks were good, the service was very good, and the main dish was excellent. To sum it up: Excellent food and services. In fact, I highly recommend everybody to try this restaurant. The best Japanese BBQ restaurant in the Eden Prairie area.

First time at Gyu-Mai. The BBQ and fried noodles were both really good, the meat was fresh and tender (the wagyu was great), and the atmosphere was nice. Our server Roy was friendly and talkative, gave us tips on how to grill the meat, and recommended some of his favorites. Overall a really good experience.

We came here for the New Year’s Eve dinner and had a wonderful experience. The meat quality was excellent, with a wide variety of options (highly recommend the boneless short rib).
The service was also outstanding, professional, warm, and genuinely thoughtful. We arrived quite late, and the staff kept checking in to make sure we had ordered enough and enjoyed everything. They even extended their operating hours for us, which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to the manager Roy. He is incredibly professional, attentive, and helpful.

I love this place! Rachel is super nice, we had a great time and I would love to hangout with my friends there cuz there is a patio and bar where you can take great pictures and selfies!! Price is affordable and food is high quality and fantastic! If you get bored of regular BBQ places in twin cities, you definitely should check out this place, they will surprise you!!!!!!!

Great place for Japanese BBQ. While not an AYCE place, the quality and quantity of food was perfect for us. My wife and I did the silver package and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. The cuts are high quality, you can tell by the marbling. Service was wonderful. Will definitely try to come back with a bigger group.

We came for our friend’s surprise birthday party and has such a great experience. We got the silver combo and substituted the garden salad for seaweed salad – the seaweed salad is phenomenal. We also added on filet mignon and scallops.. there was entirely too much food for 2 people haha but we cooled everything and took home the meat as leftovers. The mango mojito was also great and tasted like fresh mango juice with a hint of lime. The servers came out and sang happy birthday to our friend – such friendly people! Thanks Gyu-Mai for a great experience

Had such a great experience with my friends. They had a “grand opening” deal the other week and decided to try it out. It was definitely worth it! It’s hard to find good Asian bbq place like this. We had 5 people so we ordered two orders of the gold set along with couple items from the menu. It was way too much food for 5 people, but we made it worth while. It wasn’t too busy here on a Friday evening, around 5pm. The restaurant is lovely and they did a great job building this place! Our server, Maddie was great! She was on top of it and made sure we were doing OK every step of the way. All the other workers were nice as well. Came back and forward to make sure the tables were cleared of food and dishes. They were a little under staffed that day, but still they worked hard to make sure we were happy! Nick, the bartender was also great with making sure our beer was filled and brought to our table at a timely manner. I couldn’t rave more about the workers here! I highly recommend trying a set if you’re willing and wanting to try different things! Can’t wait to come back and tell everyone about it!

Went to Guy-Mai for a friend’s birthday and we had an awesome experience! Our server, I can’t remember her name she was awesome! Very attentive, along with the runner which I believe his name was Alex! Him and our server were awesome to have serving our friend group!
